“We spent the first night of our road trip here and we should've planned to stay longer (definitely coming back!). Fritz is the personality of this beautiful property. Our room was a single queen bed, and it was perfectly cozy. We were greeted by a bald eagle soaring above while we enjoyed coffee on the patio just outside our door. This is old north woods charm at its best! Yes, the property is old, there will probably be some renovation work taking place somewhere, but that just shows the love and care and investment in its future for generations to enjoy. And this is a real keeper!”

“Friendly owners that were easy to work with to setup our stay and Carol was fantastic while we were at the resort. The Lake House was spotless and loved the setup. We rented one of the Jon Boats for fishing. We brought two adjustable boat chairs, so we could be more comfortable. Fishing was great, as we fished Monday from 4 PM until Thursday at 6 PM and caught 156 fish. The firepit seating area was perfect. Abundant wildlife, deer, eagles & lake loons. Perfect Northwoods setting.”

“Great location in Eagle River! Have stayed here a few times now and the rooms are always clean and reasonably priced! Staff has always been very nice and willing to help with any needs. Will definitely be coming back again.”
“We first stayed here about 30 years ago. The rooms are neat and tidy, ...well maintained. We love sitting out on the deck and enjoying the river. 'Just a short walk next store to a traditional old supper club, or a short way further to a modern brew pub. This is a great base for your adventures in Eagle River.
Our most recent stay was very pleasant.

“Seems newly renovated. Stayed in the deluxe queen room which is essentially a room and a half. The heaters need some work as they're a bit noisy but everything else was great.”

“The place is great! Right on the trail, next to a gas station, less than a 1/4 mile from the race track and down the trail from the snowmobile rental place. There was a little confusion with a room when we got there but the gentleman fixed it immediately. They take a lot of pride in the hotel and the service. Highly recommended!!”

“Best Western Derby Inn, Eagle River Wisconsin. Very impressed with the hotel and staff. Room decor and cleanliness very nice, bed comfortable and not worn out. Staff friendly and professional, a welcoming smile on their face when checking you in. Complimentary breakfast in the morning with a different item each day and of course a very delicious waffle. Nice hotel at a affordable price.”
