Purchased two Certified Outbacks from Chilson and had all service work done there. When reviewing the inspection reports, the tire depths and brake pad thicknesses were not consistent. I thought it interesting that after 50,000 miles the engine air and cabin filters always passed inspection? At 56,000 miles I requested the air filters be replaced during the service. The service writer showed me the filters and they were disgusting, they were obviously not being inspected on previous services. I contacted the Service Manager twice and never received a response regarding the air filters. Very disappointed with the poor communication and lack of professionalism. Unfortunately will look elsewhere for future work.

I can honest to God give them a solid 5 stars. From the beginning there was no pressure, they made my entire family feel welcome during the whole process, even our 8 year old who loved the snacks and drinks while we were handling business. Scott (salesman) was a no pressure, amazing person that just wanted us to be happy and comfortable with the vehicle and entire process. Matt from finances did everything he could to make sure we had a solid loan that was right for us. All in all. They made it a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a vehicle to give them a chance.

Top rate dealership. Such a smooth experience from start to finish with the purchase of our 2024 Outback. Rob was great working with us and had everything in order when out vehicle came in. Took very little time for us when picking up the vehicle. The rest of the staff we worked with were all 5 stars.

We stopped today (we were just passing thru the area) to pick up windshield wipers for our Imprezza and Shane was so pleasant to chat with while gathering our info, (we had not been there before) and even offering to install them for us! Great service!

I was on the phone with insurance agent trying to get a quote on insurance for new Subaru. I told salesman that when he came out to get mileage off of my trade in. I parked down on the street behind Chilson so I got no more rude interruptions. Instead Jean Chilson herself called me 6 times back to back while i was on the phone. I answered her last call after I got off of the phone with insurance agent. Jean proceeded to tell me after I told her that I was on the phone with insurance agent, that she doesn't understand what game I'm playing but shes no longer interested in ever selling me a vehicle. I said why because I was checking on my insurance? O.k. than!! Glad Jean and salesman showed their true pushy personalities. Like as if Chilson Subaru is the only place to buy a Subaru. We did not run into this issue with KOCOUREK Subaru when we just bought daughters crosstrek and they offer a lifetime power train warranty on all new cars and are extremely respectful...if you want respect AVOID Chilson Subaru..

Sales Manager (Jean Chilson) and Salesman (Chris) are the two most rudest, inpatient, condescending individuals around. They both have zero patients. Sales manager proceeded to inform me that I was playing a game with them and they would no longer sell me a new Subaru, all because I was on the phone with insurance agent getting my quote being insurance company is not open on Saturdays. I guess if that's what it takes for Chilson Subaru to push you away. Than hey I guess they don't stand behind their moto "Let our family take care of your family" If you want to be treated with respect as a human, than avoid Chilson Subaru.

Took my Forester in for regular maintenance, including a request to change the engine air filter. They noticed that the air filter wasn’t dirty, but the cabin filter was. They showed it to me and asked for permission to change it out. I appreciate the transparency and that they did only the work that needed to be done. Service was also fast.

pritty upset with my experience. dropped off to get a new ecm and they told me I had alittle tare in my cv boot in the front. brought back in a month later to get that fixed just to have them tell me I need a new transmission, brake caliper and lines, and rear diff and rear axles. waited acouple months to pick up and all the work was done besides the front axles what it originally went in for. thank but I don't think I'll ask for there help again

I bought my 2018 Subaru Outback Legacy at Morries Subaru of Brooklyn Center, MN. I regret that decision and should have paid attention to reviews both good and not good.The actual signing of papers is horrendous. It took over 2 hours just to drive off the lot.The service department is not easy to work with, and the "Buy Happy" ended after the first oil change.The last service I received was on March 29, 2023. Please see my review of my experience on Morries Subaru of Brooklyn Center MN. I won't take away any further from Chilsons 5+ service star review that I am leaving here.I called Chilson Subaru of Eau Claire to explain the issue I had experienced with Morries concerning a class action settlement with regards to the battery draining. If you want more information, it will be beneath my review of Chilson.Chris B., who is the service manager with Chilson, called me to listen to my experience with Morries and how disappointing it has been to deal with them. He made the service appointment for me, even working with the coordination of my other appointments so that it would save me time.Chris even went further, going the extra mile that Morries should have, by working through the battery settlement so that my payment was only 20% of the service and battery replacement. He went over and above what I might have expected.Because of this excellent customer service experience with Chilson Subaru of Eau Claire, we will consider the Subaru Ascent, and Joe will be our salesperson as we begin to shop for a new vehicle in the next few months.Thank you, Chris B., for your excellent care and consideration of Subaru customers (even if they didn't buy the vehicle from Chilson.)! I greatly appreciate everything you did for me. The service staff are very kind and helpful. I felt very valued by all of you! Thanks to John for the ride to and back from my appointment, too! Very kind and pleasant man!Now, Morries...Long story shorter, about a year and a half ago, my battery drained down after the back light was accidentally left on. So, assuming it was truly my fault, after attempting to charge it and the original battery would not take a charge, we bought a non Subaru battery. So, this was one of the 2018 Outbacks affected with battery drains. The battery continued to drain over the course of the year and the year that the battery class action suit came out. Upon receiving the postcard, I made an appointment with Morries to address this issue, plus do an oil change and tire rotation. Because we were out of town, my son picked up the vehicle. Basically, nothing was done, and filters recommended being changed and a new battery fully at my cost since they couldn't find a problem.After speaking to someone there who informed me of the issues with the car that had not been addressed and suggested what needed to be done, particularly the battery, I told him that I wouldn't be buying another Subaru and certainly not from them. I felt like I was being dismissed.I left a critical review of my service experience with Morries.Someone responded to the post. And someone called me soon after. I had been treated with little concern, so I didn't give them another opportunity to discuss my experience. If this had been the first time that my experience was negative, I would have given them a chance to fix things or resolve the issue agreeably. It wasn't.

Just bought a new car here, and working with Bob and Nicole was such a great experience. Miles different than any other car buying experience I've ever had. Can't say enough good things. Thank you Bob for a perfect experience! Highly recommend Chilson.

Never ever buy a car at Chilson Subaru. I did. It's only 2 years old and needs new brakes and rotors. I only bought a used car instead of a new car, because there was a shortage of vehicles due to COVID. The car has electrical issues as well (passenger seat light comes on and off, trunk gate jams, USB ports that charge the phone turn off and on, windows get stuck going down, radio turns on and off by itself and locks up). Totally unacceptable. It has a warranty, but still. I've owned the car for 8 months. Chilson refuses to take responsibility and even apologize. Things like this never happen at Markquart Motors or Sears Imports. I complained to the State inspector, and they retaliated and threated my mother to call the state and withdraw the complaint or they would not do the repairs. I then filed another complaint for retaliation. I will definitely be calling Subaru's Corporate Office. STAY AWAY FROM CHILSON SUBARU LIKE THE PLAGUE. Hopefully the state inspector will fine them.

Purchased my 2nd Subaru Outback from Chilson Subaru. Love the Subaru Outback. The Chilson family and team have the best sales team hands down. Highly recomend this dealership if looking for a new or used vehicle. Excellent customer service and very knowledgable staff .
