The Eau Claire YMCA is a long-standing fitness center serving the area since 1881. It is described as an essential player in health and wellbeing and the best place to be in the Chippewa Valley. The facility offers childcare, exercise classes, aquatics, after school programs, and much more, including a gym, pool, and new universal hot tub, sauna, and steam room for adults. Reviews note the building is a little dated, but the equipment is ultramodern and in excellent condition. The staff, instructors, and trainers are phenomenal. The class selection has something for everyone, fostering a supportive community. However, hours aren’t great, the pool can be gross, and amenities like the sauna are rarely open. Some policies, like age restrictions for equipment access, have been noted. Overall, it is considered a satisfactory to good facility with a strong community focus.
A very family friendly place that meets the needs of all age groups. The addition of a lounge area with coffee encourages social gathering. Very community-focused and friendly staff.

I have been going to this YMCA since I was a child. Brought back good memories going swimming with my family and kids. The new universal hottub, sauna & steam room adults is a very nice addition.
