I was struggling to buy my first air compressor for my new airbrush without knowing what parts I needed, and a knowledgeable man named Noah at the Clairemont location in Eau Claire, WI helped me find the right sized tank and adapter piece I didn't know I needed for my hose! I'm so grateful for the amazing customer service and that I don't need to make a second trip for the adapter! Everything works very well. Thanks, Menards!

The store and employees were good, as usual, but once again, the rent-a-cop gate guards on the other hand need to be replaced or retrained.

Was told I could find hardware cloth in the garden center. I thought I had to go out of the store and drive down to the garden center when all I had to do was to keep walking past the area where you can order lumber.
I walk with a cane, am almost 71 years old, never thought I'd make it as far as I did so I had to double back, checked out my items and drove down to the garden center when all I had to do was to walk about 50 more feet and would have found my hardware cloth.
So many employees seem to act put out when an older person asks for help. Just because I'm not pretty anymore doesn't mean my wallet isn't bulging full of cash to spend at Menards. Foolish to not treat older people with more kindness. We may have even MORE money than the youngsters from years of working and saving. Lets do better!!

Menard's head office in the USA used to buy some of our products and then they copied our products and stopped buying from us. We didn't have a patent so they went behind our backs. Very dishonest. Not surprising they have such awful reviews. Go elsewhere to buy products.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I’ve now had 3 experiences where the checkout people seem to go out of the way to be rude / unhelpful. I know there young kids, but customer service and communication isn’t hard and can’t think of another store I’d complain about. I’ll be going out my way, but Wal Mart or farm Fleet it is if they have the product. Probably $1500 - $2000 year customer.

Sadly, it seems like the quality of Menards' merchandise continues to decline. Most of the products I buy there last less than a year and/or have some immediate defect.

We frequent menards and menards west is great for what we need. I do wish, however, that we were allowed to choose which diy/home repair stores we go to. Shame John won't allow competition.

If you need to build a deck & you have to order parts....good luck! The people who design the deck & order the parts can never get it right! We've been building this deck for over a month now & needed to get missing parts from other lumbar stores, & menards just can't get the stuff we need even when they designed it & ordered stuff. SOMETHING IS ALWAYS MISSING OR WRONG

When shopping at Menards, you must be prepared to handle everything completely on your own. Most employees have only worked there a matter of weeks and have no knowledge of their products or where to find them. Be sure to set aside at least 3 hours for picking up any type of building materials, whether stocked or special order. Finding someone available to help you load a large item is rare. When they make a mistake on your order, which will be often, be prepared to pay additional fees, get passed around to 3 different service desks, and get no reparations whatsoever for your wasted time and money. Some managers may at least say sorry, but most will treat you as an annoyance. The monopoly that Menards has on this region is borderline criminal. I generally have a better customer experience at the DMV.

Excellent store with great staff and rebate 11% back. This location has propane refill which is additional plus. Also this location is tester for corporate to try because it’s only 5 mins from the headquarters. It also gets a lot of corp employees to see if this or that is working. The lumber is decent too. Definitely a little less busy than south Eau Claire store

Friendly helpful staff, takes the shopper to the exact location of what he/she is looking for, rather than just pointing. Lots of deals. Great variety of products & live plants. Reasonable prices.

Cashiers here are rude at worst, dismissive at best. I've gone through the checkouts here a number of times where the cashier doesn't even speak to you. To be honest I've come to expect this level of customer service at Menards....but this one in particular is worse than others I've been too.
