Excellent experience contacting RCU customer support. The representive was very professional and sounded very engaged in my conversation and ultimately helped me to resolve my issues. Definitely would recommend to my peers. Thank you for the great experience!

When we moved to the Eau Claire, WI area we had no idea where to start with a new bank or credit union. A number of folks at my work recommended Royal Credit Union. Given that they seem to have a location in every neighborhood, we figured why not give them a try. We kept our banking arrangements in our prior State in case this one didn't work out. RCU now has all of our business. We've bought a home through them, 3 trucks, 2 cars and 2 Jeeps (yeah, we got through vehicles like shoes...). Each time the experience has been painless. The folks have been friendly and helpful. While I don't generally have to go in to a location very often, when I do it's the same helpful folks at the cashier desk, no real waiting ever that we've experienced. Very positive experience and good organization to deal with.

I have been paying on my auto loan through RCU for about a year and I do not recommend. I was in a car accident back in August of 2020. My car at the time was completely totaled and I needed to find something new. A family friend told me about RCU so I applied, I was approved, found the car I liked, got the keys then drove off of the lot with it. Not only was I still dealing with a concussion and severe migraines, I also did not feel valued by RCU. The employees who I spoke to over the phone did not sound all that excited to have me as a member. I chose to leave RCU by selling my car and paying off the loan amount. By the way, the funds weren’t received fast enough from the dealership I sold my car to so they marked that payment as late on my credit report. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RCU. All they care about is the money and they will not value you as a member like they claim on their website.

Had a very bad experience today learned rcu has a Curtesy pay that allows you to go negative so I called customer service at 9:37 a.m. and got a hold of Tim he told me about it bit then refused to read the part of the contract that includes that and went on to say "I'm not ganna do that cause it's a waste of my time". From my understanding his job is to help me figure out any problems or situations with my account but refused and then I asked to talk to his manager at around 9:46 a.m. and he said her name is Kelly and she's in a call atm and would call me back later. The guy Tim also claimed I was somehow being hostile for asking this.

My favorite RCU to utilize in EC. Great experience today with Elena! I came in without an appointment & a laundry list of requests. She didn’t hesitate to take me into her office & thoroughly help me until all of our updates were done & questions were answered. Was a pleasure working with her!

The worst banking system ever dont go here or any rcu unless its your last resort because thats how they treat their customers they know most people are inly there because they have no other choice i have since started to better my credit elsewhere i hate this place

They offer friendly and courteous service at your price, they may work in circles not providing the most accurate answers all the time. But you can make sure they will find a reason to do what they want. They don't want me to save money, nor make more. There only concern is how to best utilize how they can make money off from you as there service, if they can't any common excuse comes in play no matter how long you been with them. But you can trust they don't like people sharing this truth, or the fact they don't want you to leave. A suppressor for obedience to keep you from getting ahead with help.

Lousy customer service. Long wait times. Limited capabilities as a credit union. Unable to perform as a banking institution should. Won't use them again for anything.
