We sought a second opinion at the Animal Clinic of Elkhorn for our cat diagnosed with feline asthma. Dr. Justin recommended treatment at WVRC in Waukesha, suspecting pericardial effusion. At WVRC, our cat received oxygen and furosemide, with improved respiratory function post-albuterol. Dr. Grace confirmed good heart health, recommending prednisolone and Terbutaline. The prescription of liquid prednisolone was misfiled by Animal clinic of Elkhorn as prednisone, and Justin denied a refill, citing a "heart condition" inconsistent with WVRC's diagnosis. Communication with Justin and staff was poor, lacking critical information from WVRC. Considering options, including homemade over the counter oxygen chambers using an over the counter oxygen concentrator, was met with resistance. We appreciate WVRC's thoroughness and professional diagnosis, contrasting with our disappointing experience at the Animal Clinic of Elkhorn. You will also find due to their open ceiling allows to hear them speaking ill about you and your pets. They also double down on denying things are their fault or responsibility to verify. Even when proof is submitted to them. We do not want a scripted half hearted apology in response to this review. (same as the multiple emails after submitting the information.) Extremely unprofessional vet clinic. Highly do not recommend

It's all good until you have an emergency. If you need them, they will NOT squeeze in a animal. They don't make exceptions based on severity. You just need a vet for check ups and shots? Sure. You NEED a vet? Nope. Not going back ever.

I have been taking my dogs here for years, even after I moved 40 minutes away. Both of the vets I’ve had there have been so personable and helpful. Not to mention, their prices are so super pet owner friendly. Thanks to them, my dogs are happy and healthy.

Exceptional staff! A very caring place all around. Especially when it comes time to say goodbye. I had to say goodbye to 3 of my animals this year. They are amazing and make it as comfortable as it could be for both you and your loved ones. Take your pets here if you can!!!

I'm not happy with the price of a blood and urine test but that's not a reason for a bad review. This place does very well and handled our dog's youth very tastefully.

I found that the vet techs lack customer service & informational skills. Playing phone tag with Dr. Justin, due to the lack of communication at the front desk! Especially when time is of the essence! When my dog is very ill! Repeatedly calling, leaving messages with the ladies at the desk with specific information that doesn't reach the appropriate destination or Dr. My patience has run out, unfortunately I've already paid a lot of money with no resolution

We have recently made the switch to this clinic from a different one. This clinic was able to diagnose and treat an ear infection not once but 3 times compared to the other clinic who said our dog was fine.I also love that this clinic is much more affordable compared to other clinics in the area. We will definitely continue to bring our dog here.

I am just going to say facts. The front staff and vet techs are great! I am really not happy with the way they went about changing my dogs bandages after she had surgery for a complete tendon tear. When I called the first time to mention that the bandages were falling off they put the blame on me. My dog is suppose to have limited mobility but the bandages were falling off to begin with. It's like they were taping a scrapbook or Christmas. Tye second time i mentioned it while I was still at the clinic they gave me bandages for me to take home. They charged me $20 per roll which is completely crazy for the price. But they have to make money so whatever. My problem is that they didn't do the job right and charged me money to fix their problem. I asked if I could watch them change the bandages and they said, "no, because it's a new vet that doesn't know how to change them and has to wait for the other vet to show him how to do it." I like the honestly but I'm not paying for you to learn how to do it. Especially, when it involves my dogs health. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK. Which that is business. But I'm disappointed because my concerns were not taken into consideration. I started to feel like a Karen, but my vet friends told me the bandage looked like they didn't know what they were doing. The only good thing that came out of it was being recommended to a specialist.

First for I've brought our dog to this vet. What a wonderful experience! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The vet was amazing and patient. He explained everything very thoroughly. And I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was not as high as I thought. They only do west's necessary. I was impressed. I've found a new vet!
