I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the 40' fifth wheel that I purchased from Kunes RV Elkhorn in June 2022. We were first time RV buyer and we came in knowing we wanted an all season fifth wheel to live in while we built our dream home in the near future. The salesman was very helpful and directed us to choose the Keystone Arcadia as it is advertised as an all season rig and it also had the interior style we were looking for too. During the final paperwork they strongly recommended the extended warranty. The RV was brand new so I did not understand why they would push an extended $5,000 warranty. You would expect that with their "5-point inspection" as well as being an established RV brand that an extended warranty wouldn't be necessary. With that said the salesman swore by it of course, so we trusted him and added that on to our package. Within two weekends of use the AC unit went out. My husband owns a construction company so he is a very capable guy. So rather than drive it from our Illinois home to be serviced he took a look and found that all of the wiring in the central ceiling unit was haphazardly installed and it was an easy fix for us. But it should've been caught by the "5-point inspection". By winter we sold our home and moved into the RV on our build site less than 10 min from Kunes RV. Within 2 months of full time living the furnace started making weird noises. They sent a serviceman out to take as look. We paid for this supposed excellent warranty so we were glad they agreed to come look on site. The gentleman said he's not usually the guy who does these calls but they short staffed. He agrees it doesn't sound right but he doesn't know what's wrong with it. He was about to leave it at that after he kindly played ball with my dogs for a while. Right before he left I put my husband on the phone who then explained we were going out of town for a week and we need to ensure the furnace is properly functioning before we leave so we did not come home to frozen pipes. So, Kunes said they would replace it, and they did in a timely fashion right before we left on vacation. I fashioned a camera on the thermostat while we were away to keep an eye on it. Approximately 2 days later I checked it and the temperature was only 50 degrees F. We had our nearest friend make a trip out and confirm the furnace was making a loud noise and not working. We called Kunes and they promised to get out there and ensure space heaters were running until they could diagnose and fix the problem. 3 days go by and we hear nothing. Until the morning of our flight (which the service manager knew) and we get a call saying a squirrel got into the furnace and broke it so it is not covered under warranty. That they could fix it for about $1700. I then told him that I am a veterinarian and I know that there is no squirrel leaving its den 2 days after we had 10" snowfall to seek haven in our RV. He then said oh never mind I think it was a mouse. Now remember we weren't home to see anything. The furnace was already removed when we returned home. In attempt to cut this shorter, I ordered a brand new furnace online, it arrived a week later and my husband installed it for less than half the price they quoted us. Kunes never owned up to anything and took the easy route out.A few months went by before our next major appliance broke. I came home from work and the fridge was way too warm. It's a larger capacity fridge/freezer with a thermostat that tells you the temperature. It was in the 50s. My food was all spoiled, I had to throw away everything. My husband called the service department. Left two voicemails. No response. I called after waiting patiently 2 days later and they picked up immediately and when I asked why they hadn't returned my husbands calls Jackie at the front stated they did not have any missed calls or voicemails from him. I told her my new problem and she said after discussing with the service manager that we actually had a bill for the service

We have a new camper that required some warranty service work and needed it back for a camping trip by a specific date. Shannon in service did a nice job of getting it in and completing the repairs. He replied to emails and phone messages promptly (usually within a few hours) to our questions, update requests and got it back to us in plenty of time for the trip.Thanks Shannon!

Our Thanks to Shannon in the service department. Although our rig was on their lot for a week waiting for a recall repair, Shannon got our 5th wheel in for the repair and within a day and a half it was ready for pick-up. We are pleased with the correct ( A do over from another dealership) repair that was done and for his prompt response. We understand this is the time for rigs getting winterized so the shop is busy.Thanks again.

Worst buying experience of my life. After leaving this place I felt robbed and taken advantage of. I will never return to Kunes for any reason. You can’t trust a single word they say. I’ve found many issues with my motorhome that I’m still working through 9 months later. Some of which were caused directly from their service department. Water heater didn’t work, not properly winterized, dash board left popped out and tabs broken, wires left dangling and smashed in the dash cover. Completely unacceptable! They just want you to sign and get out the door. Better think twice before dealing with these underhanded corrupt group of people.

**This FIVE star review is for Will Launer from the service department & not for the dealership. We purchased a 2022 fifth wheel in April 2022, when we came to pick up from dealership the large light fixture was laying on the floor, broken as well as one large glass globe. As well as many, many flaws in the new RV. We were told they would reattach and order replacements. Was called a month later and told the replacements were in and that someone would be coming out to service. We were surprised when all that was replaced was theglass globe. We were then told the other parts were ordered again and would be contacted when in to set up a time to replace. Called a month later and still no parts. They then told me that they also sent replacements to my home address (they did not). Fast forward months later (winter) was called that parts were in. At this the camper is closed up for the season. Was then told I would be called back to schedule in April 2023. Nothing. I called many, many, many times. Could not at one time get a call back from the general manager.To my surprise, I received an email literally out of the blue in mid August from, Will in the service department. He apologized profusely on this long delay, etc.. But insisted he would make everything right. HE DID! He was extremely professional & trustworthy, took the 2 hour drive twice to take care of the issues and did an amazing job. We cannot thank him enough for reaching out and making everything right. Thanks so much, Will!If only the management team was as professional as Will.

We had a great experience with Buck Osman and Devon Headrick at Kunes RV. They both went out of their way to get us what we wanted. We didn’t make it easy either because of lots of restrictions at our camp site!! They both were phenomenal! We highly recommend both of them!! If you’re in the market give them a call.

If you enjoy wasting 6 hours of your life before you can even drive an RV off the lot, this dealer is for you! I spent 3 weeks working remotely with Jake and Brad on trading my Travel Trailer for a Class A. I live in Minnesota, so was over 5 hours away. I had mentioned once everything is completed, I was camping in Iowa and i would be 2 hours away and could just swing up on my way home. Credit was pulled, Financing should have been fully tee'd up as i was provided a sheet with the full sales purchase breakdown the week prior, and we scheduled an 8:45AM appointment for me to stop by Monday morning and complete everything. My wife and I left at 6AM and arrived at 8:30AM, 15min early for our appointment. Our RV was not cleaned inside or out, was not ready for us and had no gas. What should have been a few hours MAX, took Kunes RV of Elkhorn 6 hours before we were able to leave. I cant even make that up. I was beyond frustrated when I left, still having a 5 hour drive home. On top of that, i got in the RV only to find they filled the tank half full. They were fully aware that i was driving 5 hours home, so I am not sure why they wasted time taking it to the gas station to fill it halfway only for me to stop at the gas station to bring it to full before hitting the highway. I can assure you; your time is better spent elsewhere. I will say I did enjoy working with Jake, Brad and the guy who did our Demo. All 3 were great, the bulk of this experience was out of their control. I also was told the RV was missing an awning rod and that they would either steal one from another RV or order me one to drop ship to my house. They never grabbed an awning rod from another RV, and i am not expecting them to order one and ship it, so i just purchased myself. I will never return to this location.

We bought a used fifth wheel from them. Paid ALOT for it. We were assured it would be detailed and come to us looking brand new. There were a few things I specifically asked them to take care of. Only 1 of those things was done.Upon getting it home, I had wanted to give it a quick "once over" with some disinfecting wipes. I spent the better part of a day cleaning it. Sink had stain which I rubbed out in a few minutes. The mattress had disgusting yellow stains on it. WHY would you even send someone home with a used mattress? I understand CW puts new mattresses in all their used RV's. We ended up throwing it out which they could have done. There was dried urine all down the front of the toilet. There was mismatched, dirty contact paper in the pantry and some of the shelves. I had to remove all of that. It was just one little thing after the next, but it added up to big frustration and loss of confidence in that place.The day of delivery, we were there for 3 hours. They try to sell you everything under the sun. Finance through them - THEY get a kickbackBuy insurance through them - THEY get a kickback. No to all of the above.We purchased our first TT from Wisconsin RV World and it was just spotless. That salesman followed up with us and any time we called with questions or requests, they went out of their way to help us. I'm sad to say that is not the case with Kunes. Buy from us and never hear from us again should be their motto.We had gone to the Sheboygan Kunes, actually put $$$ down on a unit there. When we went to take a walkthrough, that mattress was even worse. The outdoor refrigerator was filled with black mold. Each Kunes dealer we've been to appears to not clean their units at all. We went to their Grand Opening in Madison and you'd think for something like that everything would be spotless. Walked into one RV and the shower door must have shattered and although the door had been replaced, they left all the glass on the floor. ????Our salesman never followed up with us after the purchase. Typically you get a call or at least a thank you card. Crickets. We didn't have a horrible experience but I wouldn't ever buy another RV from them. They just disappointed all around. The only bright spot was Chris who I think is the service manager. Super helpful and knowledgeable.

We bought a beautiful RV from Kunes RV in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. It was a used RV so we bought the extended warranty. Early July our back slide would not come in. We called Kunes on a Thursday and they sent their tech Willl out on that Friday. It was the gear box that went bad, Will was not only knowledgeable, but he was such an experience, professional, and immediately determine what the issue was, and started working on it. He fix d it that day and we were so relived that it was taken care ofAnd we didn’t have to worry about putting our slide in and out.We are extremely impressed with the job that Will did and with Kunze RV for making it happen so quickly.Their sales manager, John also got involved, and since we got the camper only two months ago, he took care of having us pay for the trip charge, especially since we had the extended warranty.I can’t recommend Kunes RV in Elkhorn more if you’re looking for an RV, this is the place to go, Will is a great, experienced what I will do that now that’s why I want to know I know, but are you gonna put it here now? I want technician, great customer service we will get our next RV there!

I purchased, a travel trailer from Kunes a couple of years ago. They had competitive pricing and were easy to work with during the sale. However, the best part about kunes was the service after the sale. I’ve had some recurring issues with the model that I bought, specifically some add-on equipment that was factory installed. Kunes has worked hard to resolve my issues in a quick professional manner and has done an outstanding job speaking on my behalf to the manufacturer and getting things resolved. I’m happy to say the issues were resolved at no cost to me because of their persistence. Doug and Ross in service deserve specific recognition for their efforts. I would recommend Kunes to anyone looking for a new camper or better service.

My experience at Kunes RV was crazy good. I worked with Brian Bonamarte. Brian was very professional and was able to answer any of my questions/show me what I wanted to see about my fifth wheel. The entire process was very easy and smooth. Brian went above and beyond getting me the best price and best deal out there. Kunes RV of Elkhorn is top notch. Thanks Brian!

We stopped in without calling to check on a new camper they had for sale. Trevor met us as we walked in to their facility. He professionally answered our questions without the pressure you may encounter other places.Trevor maintained communication even after the sale, following up to make sure we were absolutely satisfied with the purchase.While we were at the dealership everyone was friendly and engaged us with enjoyable conversations. They all worked hard to make the entire purchase process easy and memorable.We traveled three hours from home to Kunes RV, we have no regrets with the decision to purchase there and we highly recommend hat you visit to see why we did.

We have had the best experience buying with Kunes RV.We purchased a 2016 keystone outback and Trevor was our salesman. (We had chats with other salesman also while waiting and they were all equally welcoming)Trevor showed us several options but we knew what we wanted; any questions we had were answered.Where Kunes really shines is their service department. Chris went thru our trailer with a fine tooth comb and when they found an issue we did not know about they fixed the problem within the time frame we had discussed for pickup.When we met Chris in person he discussed every inch of the trailer with us and explained in detail what was done and how they did it. (Be leery of reviews that say they were sold destroyed campers. There is no way this can be true as they walk you thru the camper BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING)Chris then showed us how everything works on our trailer and gave us recommendations for a watchdog/surge protector to protect our investment. (Greatly appreciated)Chris is one of the nicest, hardest working guys you will meet!The young woman in the parts department was also fabulous (im sorry I forgot her name)She made sure we had everything we needed.The cleaning/hookup crew did a fabulous job getting our trailer spotless and new smelling and went above and beyond to hook her up to our truck nice and level!!Even finance was a joy! Lol got us the best rate with less down.If any any of those bad reviews scare you..ignore them they are bull. Rest assured Kunes is the way to go for your new or used camper.
