I stayed at Rowley's Bay Resort in Juneof 2023 on a tour of Door County. I was enthralled by the ambiance of the resort. The decor felt so very special and welcoming. We all loved the marvelous meals in the dining room. Many an hour was spent on the benches by the water, enjoying the lovely scenery. Your resort will be missed by so many people. Thank you for all your work in past years to make this such a special place. May God bless you in your next adventures.

Everything to the right of the peaked roof in the photo above burned down recently (9/23). The owner plans to rebuild and hopes to be up and running again next spring (5/24). It should be newer and better when it's done!

Sure hope she rebuilds a classic destination instead of selling out to condo builders. Also making sure the Swedish bakery returns in some shape or form…

Built in the mid 1900's and has the charm you won't find in most resorts in the area. Rooms were big and clean. The bakery was a treat with Swedish delights. We had a balcony room that overelooked Lake Michigan. Good size balcony with table and chairs.

Resort??? Besides bakery items what makes this a resort? Room had mildew smell, not a big selection for beers, small vacation drinks for the price. Not able to charge anything to room, big inconvenience. Far far far from anything!Asked if manager/owner was in and young dark haired girl just said no and walked away. Wanted to give thank you to girl who worked desk/bakery but wasn't young girl wasn't up for talk. Oh well

Looks like a really nice place. Just went in and checked out the lobby and pool area. Parking lot is big enough for boat trailers.

You bring your kayak, you are looking for a funky place to launch. This is it. Third year. Laid back, old school, early Door County. And internet at glacial speeds, 6 mps. Cell service marginal, AT&T 6 mps, Verizon off network calls no internet much of the time.

The hotel is in quiet part of Door County, at the end of a local road. It has plenty of common spaces - the bakery/coffee shop (free coffee) with sink and microwave if you choose to heat up food, lobby with fire place and couches, game room in the basement. You can launch your own or rent a kayak. People who visit are generally families or more mature so it's really peaceful there. There are trails to hike behind the hotel and Mink River Estuary to walk around and everything else in DC a short drive to. While it seems dated, its décor is timeless and cozy. Staff has always been friendly during my several stays there. Highly recommend this place as a haven of Door County.

Love this place. Feels like home. Been going here since I was young and hasn't changed a bit which isn't a bad thing! I love that they still use actual keys for your rooms instead of cards.

Room is very clean, lake view is very pretty and quiet, workers are very nice, perfect for vocation. Fish boil is a plus!! We are very impressive, will definitely come back soon. Only 10 minutes drive to sisters bay.
