Best, most helpful, considerate staff. I needed a new chain for my pole saw. There was no chain available in the store with the required specs. One of the staff member understood I needed to finish a trimming job asap. In record time, he managed to straighten the chain (it was locked due to overheating), fix other two issues, and render my worn-out, old pole saw ready so I could finally finish the job. I highly recommend this business.

If you want something from Door County you will find it at Nelson’s. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Matt was our cashier extraordinaire. He was joyful with a sense of humor. Thank you Nelson’s!

It's really true - if Nelson's doesn't have it, you likely don't need it. My grandson is visiting and forgot his sandals? Nelson's. Bathroom faucet is leaking? Nelson's. Need a bag of mulch? Nelson's. Last minute gift for a teacher? Nelson's. The staff is friendly and helpful and I am never disappointed. I've even gotten local, neighbor-grown tomatoes at Nelson's!

Very disappointed in the customer service at this store. I’ve been a return customer at this location for over 30 years in Door County when I am on vacation. I purchase a chair for camping and when I got back to the campsite I realized that I purchase a chair for a younger kid. When I tried to return it I was told that they don’t accept returns on chairs under any circumstance. I was going to purchase a more expensive chair to replace the one I bought so it is obvious that was not trying to scam them and use the chair for 1 night and then bring it back to get a refund. I understand having a policy and sticking to it but when it is obvious that it was just a mistake they should make an exception.
The end result is that they have lost a customer for life. Convenience and location only go so far. Very disappointing!

I went to Nelson's to rent a U-Haul. They were very helpful. They had the truck I needed and it was in very good shape.
