Bought a love seat that my girlfriend and I watch tv and fall asleep on every night. Paul and the team were so considerate. And I was so glad to see it was a family business. Definitely coming back when I need more furniture!

We purchase a Flexsteel sofa and loveseat set from A-1. It is a down to earth factory showroom type business, no fancy showroom. The price was much more reasonable than the same set at Steinhafels (never buy from them- see my review of Steinhafels). A-1 customer service is outstanding! We had a small issue when the loveseat was delivered, the drawer slide was broken. It took some time to get the parts from the manufacturer but it was repaired as promised and we are very pleased with our selections. Fancy showrooms do nothing toward customer satisfaction in the home. Nice folks at A-1 from the owner, secretary, delivery and set up personnel!

Updated from 3 to 4.5 stars after I got my furniture delivered. Pros: They have a good variety and selection of furniture and the salesman was nice and helpful. Reasonable prices and it seems to be good quality as well. Their no refunds policy seems a little stricter than some other stores I've been to, but I'm pretty happy with my overall purchase so far. Cons: Trying to organize delivery was tough. Know that they do phone calls and not emails, not even for your purchase receipt so hold on to your paper one. I digress. When I called in the morning to sort out delivery details, they were closed and their voicemail box wasn't set up. For these reasons if yelp would let me I'd take off half a star. ...more pros (Update): The phone receptionist was extremely helpful in getting my delivery time nailed down. The delivery staff came on time and did a good job assembling the pieces quickly. They were professional and made sure they were set up where I wanted. One piece had a manufacturing flaw so they returned a few days later to replace it free of charge. And my furniture is gorgeous, well built and definitely worth the price. After this experience, I am much happier and would recommend A-1 furniture.

Once again, the customer service at A-1 Furniture & Mattress has exceeded my expectations. The technician came to our home to repair the reclining mechanism in the loveseat. He was on-time, courteous and professional. He was able to fix the mechanism and it now works perfectly. My wife and I have been happy with the set, but we have been really impressed with the service!

Stopped in to A1 furniture looking for a bar table and stools and they had just what I was looking for, easy peasy! Picked it up across the street and the guys carefully loaded it up. Very happy.

So far I am going to give this business a 1 star review pending the outcome of this situation. Called several days ago to inquire about the warranty on a mattress I purchased. Having a problem with it and just wanted to ask about connecting with the manufacturer to see if we can resolve the problem. I'm pretty patient but ...today I left a message for the company leader, Paul, so far not a call back. Just today I received in the mail that they are closing several of their stores and rebranding one store. Now I am even more concerned about getting any information about how to handle any warranty concerns about my mattress. I just need information! I am also in the market for a new couch but I fear this company will not be on my list. I would think taking care of customers questions would be at the top of their list but maybe this is why they are closing stores? I will update this review if I can get a call back. 3.18.2020 Got a call from Adam at A-1 today and he was professional and pleasant and I will work with him to see what we can do about my mattress. Will keep you all posted.

Went looking for a living room set and left with a lot more for a GREAT price. The employees in store are friendly, professional and very reasonable. Once I expressed interest in a sofa and love seat set, they offered me a free 3-piece coffee table with matching end tables since my birthday just passed and I graduated from grad school. Then to top it all off, they offered me a dining room set at a flat rate. My furniture arrived on time, within the time frame given and was assembled professionally. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. P.S. Most of their items are Ashley Furniture, at lower prices

I bought Furniture 10 years ago from A1 and chose to go back to them based on how well it has kept up and the great quality. Looking back on the experience I had during the purchase, the sales rep was great and the owner Bob was phenomenal to work with. For delivery they gave me a 2 hour window and they were right on time. I will continue to go back based on the quality of service they provide.

We went to the new A-1 Furniture by McKee Road in Fitchburg (no yelp account yet). Although we were not big fans of the actual furniture, we were greeted by the nicest and most genuine man. I've never felt more welcome I want to go back just to say hi!

DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM A1!!! If I could give negative stars, I would! My boyfriend and I just went through hell dealing with incompetent, unprofessional delivery drivers and managers all over one simple table... First, the wrong table was delivered at the wrong time. I had to leave work to be home for this unscheduled delivery. Then when the delivery men showed up, they were very rude to me and did not listen to me when I politely let them know that the table they were setting up was not the table that I ordered... They replied, "that's not our problem." They ended up leaving the wrong table in our apartment, only half assembled, with silicone beads (toxic for cats... which we have) and packaging all over our floor. When I called to complain about this issue, the manager was very nonchalant and said that the correct table would be here in about a week and that we had to store the incorrect table until then... When the correct table shows up, different delivery men brought it that were equally as rude as the first and complained about having to take the incorrect table and refused to assemble the correct table - a service that we paid additional money to get. As my boyfriend was assembling the table himself, he realized that one of the legs for one of the chairs was missing a necessary peice. We have spent OVER THREE WEEKS trying to get someone from A1 to get us the correct peice and give us store credit for our inconvenience. We have talked to every manager at the store as well as Paul, the owner, and have been to the store twice. We were repeatedly pushed off and we still have a table with only three functioning chairs. We informed the last manager that we spoke to that we are going to report them to the better business bureau and they did not seem concerned. That will be our next move after writing reviews to help ensure that others do not go through the same grueling experience we did with this horrible company.

They had some okay deals going on. I saw many pieces that were identical or near identical to pieces at American Freight for double or triple the price. I did find a few couches I liked, but the salesman that was "helping" us would. not. stop. following. us. He would watch us sit on couches and was following us around the store. We left solely because of this creepy salesman. Had he left us alone, we would have browsed more and maybe even bought something but geez. I understand being available and helpful, but you can do that without following your customers and watching them as they sit on things.

It was the day.. The day. We were going to buy a couch. Not just any couch.. But the couch of all couches. A BRAND NEW COUCH. We had our list.. This A1 came highly recommended from a few of our friends among the list of other places. We walked into A1 and wandered through the rows. Over came Scott B. wanting to help. Now look.. I hate sales people. Mainly bc I am one. Most of the time I want to be left alone until I find something I want then I'll find you. Scott helpfully backed off and let us have our space. We looked around a bit... Found a few we liked.. And we left. Yup we left. I was convinced we could find something better at a better price. I was wrong. So very wrong. We wandered over to the mini A1 off the beltline. Cute but way less inventory. Next. Into Steinhaffles where the sales lady immediately attacked us and just would not let up. NEXT. Last stop.. Ashley. With the 2 to 4 week wait not even their best sale price could make me wait that long. We couldn't run back to Scott at A1 fast enough. He happily helped us in everything we needed. We bought the couch we loved, got free delivery, and got it the next day. Delivery was quick an easy as well. Will for sure be back for our furniture needs.
