I cannot understand why the Manager Dan is in a position of leadership. Hiding from his employees? Smoking right in front of the store? Really? His work ethic and value he is supposed to provide to customers is non existent. The young man running the register showed more quality service in our brief interaction then the Manager Dan will ever achieve.
(Plus the guy cannot be calling customers body parts slang) Dollar Tree you can do better.

Arrived to the store at 8:51 and the doors were locked. Employee waved his hand in front of his neck signaling they were finished even though sign on door stated they are open until 9. Very disappointing

I have been going to this store for years. It has always been a mess but today, I went in and everything looked so nice. Nothing on the floor, shelves all nice and orderly, everything where it should be. They must have a great new team of people.
I am so proud of them for turning this store around.

There hasnt been a single time I've gone here and it was actually open in months, despite what signs and google maps say. There is a sloppily written sign on the door saying we close at 2pm. They are not open before then either. The doors are always locked. What is going on here?

I want to bring to your attention some concerning issues at the Dollar Tree in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
Since February, the store has had four different managers, which seems like a high turnover rate.
However, my concern isn't just with the individual managers, but with the overall treatment of the employees by the company.
It's been observed that they do not provide a living wage and have unfair working conditions.
Prior to February, there was an expectation for management to keep the store open at all costs, even working beyond their salaried hours without compensation. This was brought to the attention of the state authorities, as it was essentially illegal.
Having worked in customer service and retail for over 20 years, I have never experienced such poor treatment from a company before. The district managers seem to lack the necessary support and are not addressing the needs of the stores adequately.
Requests for help have been made, but unfortunately, assistance is often directed to already well-staffed stores, neglecting those that are struggling with staffing issues.
I urge shoppers to be understanding and patient when visiting this store, as the staff is often limited. Not all employees are trained to work at the register, as some also need to focus on stocking the shelves due to insufficient staffing. It's important to remember that the challenges faced by the staff are due to the company's inadequate allocation of resources. Please be kind to the employees, and be patient. They are limited by what corporate is willing to do.
All about the almighty dollar... corporate greed.

I'm changing my revision 3 stars because I keep walking to the store in evening when it's cooler only to have a sign AGAIN. That they close at 6pm instead of 9pm. This happens again and again, I just tried to call to check hours 8/12/24 about 10 to 6pm. First someone hung up, then it just rang and rang. No need to ignore the call, just say you're closing and I won't waste a trip.
Staff keeps changing. I don't know if corporate is not paying enough to keep it staffed or what. It's sad because I've watched it flourish over the last year or so, only to disappoint.

The store was quite a mess. Boxes both empty and filled lying on the ground around the store. Majority of the shelves were disorganized and very messy. I literally witnessed an employee shove a box of product on a shelves and say “ I have no idea where this goes” Didn’t appear to be understaff; I saw three employees. Our cashier was friendly.

Wow. I won't be a Karen unless absolutely necessary. Manager walked off in the middle of checking me out. And was yelling at another employee the whole time. Very bad experience.

If I could recommend that they have a public restroom. Having children makes it extremely difficult to shop if they would suddenly need to go to the bathroom
