I am not at all pleased with our experience with Momentum. The premiums are about the same as the State premium for Uniform Dental Benefits, which we had for over 20 years and were generally happy with. We switched to Momentum because the Perio coverage seemed a little more generous, BUT, so far we have had nothing but trouble! My husband didn't appear on my plan for the first claim. Then that was supposedly corrected, but for the next claim, the system had forgotten him again. Then there was a denial because the provider had not yet been "entered into Momentum's system", and when that was corrected, the claim was still largely denied, because the interval between cleanings hadn't been a full six months. No coverage is not for cleanings twice a year, it is for cleanings exactly every 6 months! EVERY SINGLE TIME, it has been something, in an apparent attempt to pay as few claims as possible. During this year's open enrollment, we are definitely switching back to the State's Dental plan!
