I have been trying to schedule for an eye appt. The first appt was canceled cause the doctor went on vacation. No one knew the doctor was leaving. I made a second appt same thing with a didnt doctor but no one informed me of the appt change.Until was searching for the appt on My Chart and noticed it was moved.Called Meritor to speak to an admin but was told all they have isa manager (Nathan ) wasnt in the office. The receptionist said she left him a message to call me back but never recieved a call back. MERITER really doesnt respect or care for the the people who go there for services. I will take my health care needs else where. Thanks for nothing Meritor

J. Koenen is the best PCP I've ever had! She's really friendly and caring. She's very knowledgeable and seems really passionate about her job. She really listened to my issues and went the extra mile to help me find out what could be causing them.

Dr James Shropshire is fantastic but his nurses could care less bout the patients. It's just sad how they treat others

The first clinician I had at this clinic was incredibly reluctant to grant me a single referral despite my request and just seemed very callous toward my conditions and was just unhelpful. It was a very impersonal and unprofessional experience. I don't have any complaints about the second clinician at the clinic however i was asked to reschedule twice which isn't a problem, but it was always on the day of my original appointment which is too late.I can't personally recommend the clinic due to my experiences with my first clinician as well as due to delayed responses from the staff there. No one was rude, everyone was perfectly polite however it just feels like an ingeniune act that even they believe.

I’ve had really exceptional care from the providers and nurses at this clinic. They have been able to see me on very short notice and around holidays. They answer and respond to my questions over the phone and are responsive on MyChart. I’ve really appreciated the care I’ve received at this clinic.

I'm not sure why some of the reviews are so low, I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with the reception and nursing staff. Dr. Martin- Foster is the best PCP I've ever had. I feel like she actually listens to me, and she's not afraid to send you to specialists for any issues or requests you might have. She's helping me with health issues I've had for years, that no other doctors ever cared to look much into.

Martin Foster is a compassionate doctor, and I've always had friendly interactions with all the staff. Lovely facility, too.

I really am not sure why so many other people seem to have had negative experiences. Every interaction I have had at UPHM has been wonderful. The staff is welcoming. My doctor (Shropshire) is very knowledgeable, relatable, fun, and seems genuinely invested in my health. It's difficult to get appointments quickly, but it's a small clinic in a large town.

Unfortunately, I had a similar experience as the other user. Initially, I was surprised they had an opening for new patients in Fitchburg. However, the staff is why I switched PCPs.In my initial visit, there seemed to be a drastic lack of communication. A nurse led me to a room and left without saying anything. Apparently they wanted to take my blood, or so it was figured out from the several nurses in the hallway who noticed I was in the room. The receptionists seemed bothered that they would have to assist me. When I was checking out and paying for the visit, the receptionist, mid transaction, stopped to talk to another employee about lunch. They continued on and started to gossip about another coworker being gone and why/where he/she was. I just wanna pay and go home, lady.Today, the receptionist called to set up an appointment and was very short and rude on the phone. It’s not worth my time to put up with this. I just switched PCPs to avoid this office. The sad part is I even wrote this as feedback on a survey they sent out. And here I am, writing this so people can know that it hasn’t changed.13SEP19 - Update- I would like to point out that a year ago the owner said they take all feedback seriously and that it has been six months with no attempted contact or update.

Doctors don't listen to patients regarding their treatment, claim CDC recommendations are absolute when reading said recommendations proves they are, if fact, just recommendations, don't discuss with patients all possible treatment options. Horrible health care - if it can even be called "care." I will most certainly be switching from Meriter to a more compassionate, understanding, and open minded health care provider.

I had mediocre experiences with the doctor and an even poorer experience with other staff at this clinic. I had seen my doctor at this clinic twice in the past 16 months - which is a lot for a healthy woman in her 40s. When one of my other doctors contacted this office for approval of a medication, they made it sound like I was an absent patient. I have no problem making an appointment with the doctor for medication approval. I DO have a problem with being spoken down to by a condescending nurse, especially when I have done nothing wrong. When a patient contacts their doctor with a medical need, they should be respected. I promptly found a new doctor.
