Why are they closed periodically without warning for lack of staff? If they can’t run their business as expected then close the pharmacy permanently! I have driven there twice and been told that. Are you kidding me? For prescriptions I need? Not in this century.

I have been coming to this location for years for cards, and I miss the customer service that they used to offer. EV, I’m guessing the spelling, in the photo department is fine unless he is expected to put in any extra work.
I have had so many issues there lately and the guy said he is a manager. Yikes! I would recommend driving a bit further to the next closest Walgreens if you’re wanting quality customer service.

Truly the most miserable prescription experience I’ve ever had. Arrived 15 minutes prior to their stated break, person at the window stalled until they demanded I come back after their break despite it being… 10 minutes prior to their stated break, while they stood around and chatted. Script was sent over the day before.
Will do everything in my power to avoid this Walgreen’s in the future, do not send meds here if possible.

This location has really gone downhill. Pharmacy service is problematic. Repeatedly long delays getting refills. Store prices are as high or higher than convenience store prices. This weekend and today (Monday) the pharmacy was/is closed completely. Time to switch for us.

Is this one of the stores in the Walgreens operation that will be closing as announced by the Deerfield Illinois Headquarters?
I am very disappointed with the Pharmacy at this store. My Doctor placed a rush order to start taking last night (1/24/25). My sickness had progressed to a serious state. I phoned the store and was told that it would be ready by 7:30 pm. I arrived at 7:30 pm and the pharmacy was closed. I was told by the person in the photo department that the pharmacist, he/she got sick and decided to close the department and send staff home and the pharmacy would not be open for the rest of the weekend. Totally exhausted by this experience, I decided to wait till today (1/25/25). My wife was now involved since I was to Ill to do any follow-up. She called the triage Nurse At UW Hospital in Madison to find out if she could help us since the Fish Hatchery store had not entered the order into the system. She was able to reissue the request to Walgreens on PD and Maple Grove road. They had it completed within a very short period of time.. How many other customers were impacted? Will you be making contact with me? I’m curious to know what action you’ll be taking

Be ware of the Pharmacy Resident. I came to pick up a fertility drug and he gave me an antidepressant commonly used for OCD instead. The Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist was very polite and anapologetic and gave me a discount to make up for the mistake. Moral of the story. If you think something is wrong it probably is. Always advocate for yourself and triple check your medications no matter where you get them from. The retail section is great which is why I gave the store an overall 3 star review.

Don’t waste your time & energy dealing with this Walgreens location.
I’d been trying to pick up a new prescription for months and I repeatedly had issues, in fact I gave up and decided to switch to a competent pharmacy.
My doctor send the script over 4 times (including the prior authorization paperwork), and Walgreens claimed to have never received any prior authorization. Of course, I kept trying to fill the script and have my doctor repeatedly send them the needed information. The pharmacy then began to cancel my prescription, instead of allowing the status to say “Action Needed”.
The strange this is, I would be able to pick up my other meds, but never heard anything regarding my new script for ADHD (of course, a controlled substance).
It would almost lead one to assume that someone in the pharmacy is picking and choosing what prescriptions to fill…

Procedures to pick up items that you've ordered and paid for online does not match instructions on app. Very inconvenient. Employees either don't know this or don't care, including manager on duty, who was very condescending.

Leadership change in the pharmacy resulted in much better patient care and service! The new pharmacy manager has really turned things around and is good-looking to boot! The pharmacy can get busy, but the staff handles it well, and the line moves pretty quickly.

This pharmacy is leaps and bounds ahead of where it was a few years ago. Much better management, more knowledgeable pharmacists! I met Jake a few months back, long-haired pharmacist, and he was very knowledgeable about my prescriptions, vaccines, and took the time to help even though I could see they were swamped! I would recommend this pharmacy to anyone!

Slow service both experiences. Manager is immature, disrespectful, and unhelpful.

This Walgreens isn't particularly good or bad compared to other locations. The staff here have been fine, and this store is generally kept clean and well-stocked. My gripe is that overall, I'm finding fewer reasons to keep my prescriptions and other business with Walgreens. Like other locations, this store has drastically cut its pharmacy hours, and turnaround time for filling prescriptions has continued to climb.
