I have had two run ins with Casey S the member consultant. The first time I tried to open an account and she was very snobby and acted like she was better than me. I was asking questions and Casey laughed at my questions and made jokes right to my face. I was very upset but I still became a member because I have heard good things about the fdlcu. Then last night I asked to deposit a check and she said she needs to see my account very rudely. I asked if I would be able to access the money and she proceeded to ask to see my account then she said I wouldn’t be able to access the money for 10 days. I get that it’s how the credit union works but the attitude is unneeded. I’m very unhappy with how she has treated me with my first two interactions at the credit union. Honestly if I could give half a star I would. She’s seriously that rude, and has a very negative attitude.

John Cetnar was very nice to me and made my loan process through the Fond Du Lac credit union quick and easy, because of the service I was given I will recommend this credit union to friends and family.

If you become a member here, be prepared to receive lots of junk mail and solicitations for accidental death and dismemberment insurance as well as auto insurance.They claim they are offering you these great deals because you are a member of FDL Credit Union. Yeah, OK...I didn't sign up for and I don't appreciate the fact that FDL Credit Union shares my name and address with 3rd party insurance companies so that they can litter my mailbox every month with junk mail.Ridiculous

I’ve been a member here a few times and have had a few car loans with FDLCU and had WONDERFUL experiences. My last, and final time with the CU was anything but. The experience started out great, the loan process was speedy, I was able to have a great experience with the loan officer. Things started to turn when I went for the check for my auto loan. I was purchasing a car out of state. They were skeptical in all the right ways, I appreciated them for it. I get to the dealership 800 miles from home and hand over their check, the dealership wouldn’t take it. They put the WRONG NAME on the check. We called and we got many excuses as they would not reissue a check, do a wire transfer, literally anything to help get us home with the car I was purchasing. They wiped their hands clean when they basically said there was nothing they could do but leave us stranded 800 miles away with no option. The dealer was a certified dealer, credible, and incredibly helpful in getting me in a new loan and on my way with the car. They did end up letting me wire the down payment I originally put down to the dealer, which I was grateful for. The final kick in the pants, when I went to close my account, they decided to keep $5 because I was closing my account within 90 days. I literally only opened it to get the loan, that they screwed up. Hands down the final straw on my dealings with FDLCU.

Left us stranded half a country away from home on a bad cashiers check. Couldn’t fix it without leaving us stranded over 2 days and had to take out alternative financing locally. Upon return home it took 3 trips to the bank to get the money back and close the account. Icing on the cake was then demanding they keep $5 for closing the account within 90 days due to their mistakes!!!Never again.

Closed my accounts with them because they didn't offer what I needed for my business. I left enough in the account to cover the one payment that was still processing but 2 more tried to go through so they charged me with 2 overdraft charges even though I had overdraft protection. After one month they sent it to collections. Smh I'd go somewhere else.

Can't seem to get any kind of answers been there probably close to ten times now. Went to the court house to ask them what was needed so I know I have everything right and still haven't gotten any answers. I would recommend going and doing your banking somewhere else

My dad died in October. I went in several times with the paper work I needed but kept getting the run around about his accounts. Finally I got served court papers saying that they took all the money out of his accounts to pay his credit card and are coming after me for the remainder of the balance. I have been and talked to other financial institutions that have informed me that they have never heard of a place doing this.

I have been banking here for many years, the staff has always been very helpful over time. Many great incentive programs with good benefits. The lending department has been very helpful with my needs and inquiries, not to mention great rates! Keep up the excellent service

John Cetnar is a great employee. He's probably the main reason this review is getting a 2 star since I respect him. Plus I respect my grandma who has been banking with them for 30 years now. On the other hand, Joseph Miller was not great to work with. He called me deceptive yet he was not familiar with the situation. He said I needed to prove my income and I was more than willing to prove my income but he didn't even give me the opportunity to do so. I have an excellent credit score and have NEVER missed a payment in my life. Makes me think they are judging me rather than my financial status.

Every time I have ever asked for assistance with FDLCU, the answer has been no. No to a mortgage back in 2018 (after a week + waiting for a response) and most recently, no to a small overdraft fee refund from lack of clear understanding that the account numbers on checking and saving accounts are different. The overdraft fee isn’t going to make or break our situation, but it’s the lack of compassion, grace, and tact that leaves me with yet another sour experience. I have been

If you want to bank at a place that cares about you as a person; don’t go here. They never work with you on any kind of problem. They’re typically not friendly. I’m more surprised if they are than if they aren’t. I’m very happy I finally got out of there!

I thought I had encountered a scam/fraud issue in Dec 2020. I immediately contacted the Credit Union to inform them and ask advice how to proceed. When I told the woman that answered the phone the situation, she forwarded me to another line where I got a voice msg. I didn't receive a return call for almost 4 hours. Time is of the essence in these types of issues. I don't feel like I can depend on them. I have been a member for 35 plus years.
