i live near the building so i dont actually need to have a hotel room unless for a party. but i went there during covid season and was told they were rebuilding the basement (how, i have no idea, must be a pretty strong building from another world) so they could have a pool since i walked in and asked if they had a pool (nope we renevating). i went in a few months ago this year and found out they have no pool. they used to let us pay a little bt of money to rent the pool (certain amount per person, doesnt have to be a group). other than that its a fancy building. i havent been in the rooms since the change, but from the walk in i see nothing wrong.

Daniel, Bryton & Trisha are so kind and accomodating! I had a lovely time at the hotel bar each night of my 5 day stay. The food is great, especially the salmon & BRUSSEL SPROUTS.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It looked just like it does online. The woman who checked me in was an absolute doll. Made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Quiet and the rooms are beautiful. Hands down one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Thank you guys for such a great experience.

I give a solid 3 stars. The place is indeed very unique and the rooms are fantastic. The location is terrible as it gets very loud with cars driving by all night. The bar is a small bar but nice, my only issue is you get people that are bar hopping who aren’t staying at hotel Retlaw coming to bar causing ruckus. The restaurant table one is absolutely terrible. I can’t see table one lasting long.

I'm a vegan. There was nowhere for me to sit in our room. The sofa and chair were made of leather. I had to sit either on the bed or the floor. The coffee shop was only open until 1 pm. Other than that, the place was gorgeous. Their restaurant had some options on the menu that could be made vegan if a person doesn't mind that the restaurant serves meat. The bar has a good drink selection that includes a smokey Manhattan that is fun to watch the bartenders make. My parents had their 50th anniversary and, overall, the place offered a luxurious ambience, a first class menu for omnivores and is in an historic building in a cute downtown district, sadly nothing in the area is vegan and no nearby restaurants are vegan. You'll need to pack your own food.

Cool hotel and awesome location, but we were kept awake from 3am - 8am by a group of belligerent and drunk adults gathered in the hallway outside our room drinking champagne from the bottle, fighting with and screaming at one another at the top of their lungs. Finally went out and told them to be quiet only to then be screamed at and threatened by them. Nice. Had to call the front desk and ask for a manager to come up and deal with them. They finally quieted down about 30 minutes afterward. Glad we paid to spend the night in a room we couldn’t get any sleep in. Clearly this place allows some questionable guests. Stay classy FDL! ?

We held our 2023 Charity Ball here. The staff was kind, professional, and friendly. The building speaks for itself, but it was truly the most beautiful venue to hold an event.
