Great family environment. They have taught our son respect, given him the courage to stand up for himself, and work ethic. They also have many family and social events throughout the year that our son likes to take part in. He has a difficult time socializing, but not at Chosun.

We absolutely love Chosun. My son has been attending there for over two years now. He has gained so much self confidence, physical endurance and RESPECT. We struggled with respect at home, toward mom. After a few classes his attitude changed so much. I am truly grateful for Master Peterson and all of his amazing instructors. Chosun continues to teach my son lesson he will use for the rest of his life.

We love Chosun! It is truly a family affair at this school. Master Peterson and his staff really care about the kids and them growing up to be good humans through the teachings of Tae Kwo Ndo - courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, indomptable spirit. The kids learn self control, discipline and respect. They also learn valuable life skills - stranger danger, counter acts to bullying, being an upstander, and how to get yourself out of dangerous situations. My son started as a little Ninja years ago and he is now a red belt, ever so close to his black belt goal. His sisters are now little Ninjas and he helps them practice at home.We truly feel at home at Chosun and recommend it to all.Come join the Chosun family!

Chosun BBA instructors are passionate in teaching the arts of Taekwondo to enhance the body and mind. The effectiveness of their teaching is reflected through my 2 daughters and the way they treat others with respect and kindness. The ongoing updates and communication between emails, text messages, and Spark Member app is super helpful and efficient with our busy family lifestyle. Master Peterson is very involved and attentive to the needs of each individual and family. We feel like one big happy family at each class, event, and gathering.

Our son has been training there for a number of years, starting as a Little Ninja and has also participated in both their Demo Team and STORM Team. He has learned so much more than just Tae Kwon Do there to help him develop both physically and mentally. Master Peterson and the rest of the instructors have been excellent and treat you like part of the family. Highly recommend!

Our daughter has been a member at Chosun Academy for a year now and she loves it. The teachers at Chosun have a great way of displaying discipline and values while still making class fun. They work hard at making sure each student is successful in their training. Our family couldn’t be happier.

My son has been going to Chosun BBA for 3 years and it has been a wonderful experience for him. Through the guidance and skilled teaching of the instructors, my son has not only learned the practice of TKD and increased his physical capabilities, but also has learned the importance of character and mental strength. We've enjoyed watching him progress through more advanced belt levels and accept new leadership opportunities, and he's had a lot of fun in the process! The skills, confidence and friendships he's gained along the way have made me so glad we joined the Chosun family!

After checking out different dojangs (place of training) around the area, I am very pleased that I chose Chosun in Franklin for myself and my children. We started our Taekwondo training 2 years ago and have been very happy with the curriculum and training that have been provided, as well as the camaraderie formed with other students and instructors. Master P and the other instructors have always provided an atmosphere of great learning during every class and they make the class fun and engaging.

Taekwondo at chosun has absolutely changed my sons life. He used to be timid around his peers and really lacked confidence in himself. He’s been doing this for 3 years now and is just about to get his black belt. He is so much more confident and assertive than he used toBe. I’d absolutely recommend this forAny child.

My child is in the Little Ninjas program at Chosun. Overall, the program has been okay. A few notes, though... To anyone signing up through the Franklin Recreation Department's once-a-week classes for 6 weeks- The new kids are in the same class as students who have been studying taekwondo for a while. That's fine, kids learn quickly by watching other kids. But if your child is a little shy, it can be intimidating for them to step out on the mats and join the group. When we started, the instructor helped gently guide the new kids onto the mat and get them interested. Recently, there have been new kids who sit out the whole first class or two because the instructors don't do more than ask once or twice if they want to join the class. They seem content to take a strict approach and if the child doesn't show enthusiasm, they let them cling to their parent outside of the mat and not participate at all. It's really unfortunate because it's not a free class and the parents just want their kids to have fun. I see a parent break down and cry every couple months because their child won't participate and some instructors don't give much encouragement or assistance. Continuing the program after the recreation department intro course, it's a 2-day-per-week commitment. (Side note: You'll get a free uniform when you sign up for the full classes.) The Little Ninjas course teaches basic kicks, stances, punches, blocks, some taekwondo vocabulary, and respect. They "test" for a new colored stripe belt every 10-12 weeks. Each belt + test costs $40-70. Also, for full transparency, the owner encourages positive reviews with rewards like a free special $80 uniform or a $50 credit to your Chosun account. (Obviously not for this review.)

My grandsons enjoy going to class. Not only do they learn the art of taekwondo, the core values that they learn at home are reinforced in class. My husband and I recently joined and have enjoyed our classes. Great training and exercise. Master Peterson is an excellent teacher and know each students abilities. He provides opportunities for his students to succeed.
