I'm looking for a new bank. I've auditioned this place two times to see what their customer service might be like. They have failed both times. I gave them a second chance after disappointing me several months ago. I stopped in the other day because I needed a service that only a bank can provide. I made it clear to the teller that I was not currently a customer but was seriously considering becoming one because I was looking for a new bank. The teller was unsure how to complete my requested transaction so he went to confer with a superior. He was gone for quite a spell, and at one point, I considered simply leaving but began to count backwards from 60. He returned at about 25 and said that he was sorry, since I wasn't a customer, the transaction could not be completed. He referred me to Walmart. WALMART!?! For crying out loud, Walmart will cash checks and sell you plastic money (which is no bargain, either) but Walmart is not a bank and cannot do what I was requesting. A bank needs to complete the transaction I need completed, but Associated Bank just wasn't interested in my business. Sorry, Associated Bank, you have failed me twice. I'm still looking for a new bank, but it won't be your bank.
