Menards is a staple in midwestern home renovation. But you really need to be a frequent customer to get the most out of it. Employees are mostly just unskilled shelve stockers, who know nothing about actual home improvement. That said, I imagine having more knowledgeable employees would raise the cost of employees and Menards already caters more to the commercial market than they do the general DIYer. And I highly recommend using the app to figure out where stuff is in the store before you get here as most of the staff have no idea where anything is.

I saved big money by buying outlets and outlet covers.I was directed the the right way to wire up a ground fault outlet, and it worked.

Don’t buy anything from Menards. They always fail to back up the product they sell. Plus their customer service is lousy. Will never visit them again.

Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard trying to pay them money on an account with the bill payment stub and was told it can't be done unless I have the Menards card or the person's id

Friendly employees but technology is very out of date. I shouldn't have to make multiple stops in the store to get a pickup slip. That should be done at the registers to save customers time. Now you lost the sale of a tub, surround and walls.

We we’re looking for replacement tubes for small wheels but forgot what the words was and we approached a worker in the aisle, his name was Tom. We asked Tom for help and he was not friendly at all. As we stuttered the words out to explain to Tom what we’re looking for he just shook his head at us and gave us the smirk look. He was being rude and disrespectful. Employees jobs are to help their customers find the items we dont know thats why we approach you. If you gonna try to be smart and be like: wheels like what! What? What?
Dont work in customer service!!

Todd in the appliance section was so helpful and knowledgeable when buying new countertops. He’s the reason we decided to get them from Menards. Then a a few months later he helped with questions when buying a freezer. He knows it all! Thanks Todd!

I'll start by saying thank you for staff on pick up day for full refund. Ordered a custom order interior door, more of a trial before the whole house and didn't have high expectations. The door we were given (mission poplar) was damaged in several, several spots, finish was so inconsistent it's hard to describe and the door itself felt so rough it seemed unsandedmprior to finishing. Compared to it's sample inside the store...seemed like an unacceptable attempt. Ultimately refused to even reorder, lost all faith. The fact it left wherever it was constructed as ok, received uninspected and loaded into our truck as quality product confuses me considering several points to ensure basic quality assurance. I sincerely hope they institute something to avoid losing lifelong customers. I'm close.

I love Menards, but their website sucks.
