After having a few bad experiences at the Brown Deer Menards, I decided to take a chance on the Germantown Menards last weekend. As I was checking out, I discovered that my rebate had fallen out of my pocket sometime during my shopping excursion. The cashier asked me if I wanted to go look for my rebate, so I did, but to no avail. I knew my rebate was gone, and I decided the universe was probably telling me to take a break from Menards for a while. This weekend, a Menards envelope showed up in my mailbox. I opened it only to find my rebate! I can't believe they mailed it back to me, which was so awesome and unexpected. They restored my faith in humanity.

Management here is unbelievably rude. Making rude comments about me returning things. Dominic B definitely shouldn't be in customer service if he's going to make rude comments.

Hard getting help. Teens & 20-something are oblivious to customers searching for products. They'll converse amongst themselves as they walk by a customer. Eye contact isn't trained by management. Everyone has an earpiece, 2-way radio, so they're half tuned out to their surroundings, customers, & the environment.

This evening I went to this location looking for grando 2 lumen 10 pack of solar stakes lights. I was fortunate to have found the last box, but it was obvious that it had been opened/returned and was missing 3 lights. (It was taped on the sides using scotch tape). I looked around the isles to make sure I wasn't missing something. I went to the cashier (Gretchen), and she called her manager. Dominick, who replaced Jon, is who I was told he was. I asked if he'd be able to lower the price due to the missing lights. He said the best he could do was $5 off. Now the brand new in pack is $25 for 10. Making each one $2.50. I told him it didn't make sense. Because even with $5 off. For 7 stakes, it was $2.80 each for an opened package. He stated there wasn't anything he could do because " I have a quota to meet." Ultimately, I left with the last pack of grando 1 lumen pack of 10, making each light $2.50. I would've ofc rather have the 2 lumen which is brighter. The experience left me feeling perplexed and confused that the customer would end up paying more for an open and missing item to meet the managers quota.

Menards Klearveau Cabinets for the Kitchen are a vastly inferior product. First, you have to assemble EVERYTHING. Then, the fit is terrible. Drawers won't close or adjust. The structure requires massive additional supports. The sink cabinet wasn't strong enough to support the sink without reinforcements we had to come up with ourselves. They use vinyl wood-look TAPE to finish out the trim. There are plastic feet on the base units. The screws are if inferiirxwuslity metal and strip easily. In short, a terrible product not worth your money. Oh yes, and when you call they won't help. They ask you to send pictures of the problem in an e mail. Call, and they'll give you a number with a recording that tells you to send pictures in an email. Avoid this product st all costs IMO

Kevin (general manager/germantowm wisconsin) was extremely unhelpful and rude. When I asked to speak with someone who was above him he laughed a bit and said "there's no one above me".. it's very unfortunate that when you have a complaint regarding service there is no one you can talk to. I will definitely be posting this concern to all my social media platforms (153k followers)

The remodeled store layout is horrible. When you need a yard ticket you go on a frigging walkabout to get the ticket. Then hike all the way back to your vehicle and then drive all the way around the building. More to the point, all the money spent on this disaster of design and losing race teams, should been spent on new shopping carts and dollies. The piece of garbage flat cart I recently was stuck with, literally came apart in middle of the parking lot. Of late, I carefully limit what if anything purchased there and darn well make sure I can return it ( more than likely I will) And finally do not buy appliances from Menards. The brands are legit, but are Gray Market runs, limited amounts that test the public interest and for the manufactures to work out the bugs before full product launch. Menards and Las Vegas have a lot in common, but have better odds winning in Vegas than getting descent products or service @ Menards.

Went to Menards today for wall anchors. There were about 5 of them under a tag that said $2.98 yet they came up at $7.98. We asked for a price check and a very rude employee, Tony called back for a price check and informed us we must've grabbed the wrong product. Then cut my girlfriend off mid sentence and proceeded to just giggle/chat with three other employees. Very disappointed in how they handled something so petty that was the stores error.

Always busy, no one knows where anything is. There are no prices on a lot of stuff on the shelves and there are hardly any cashiers working and no self check out lanes, you’ll be waiting in line for a long time.
