I found fitness alternatives when I was in town for holiday and I took a private pilates reformer session. She took me through an excellent workout that made me feel so much more in alignment after my long flight from Los Angeles. I really enjoyed the serene atmosphere and Kathie's genuine knowledge about pilates and the whole body.

Kathie is absolutely incredible!! I leave here feeling like a completely new human :) I was always afraid to try pilates in a studio and she made my first time so safe and approachable. I'm so excited to get into a consistent schedule and am going to try to recruit my sister too. Definitely recommend!

Kathie Spencer is the most amazing instructor I've ever had. I have been going to her for years, and every time I go, she teaches me something new. Not only do we use her state of the art pilates equipment, but she sends me home with exercises I can do without no/minimal gear, making me feel like I'm really gaining skills with every class that I can take outside the studio. She is very attentive to form and breath and makes sure you're doing exercises in the way that will get the most bang for your buck and also won't end you up with any injuries. I also started to go to her after invasive back surgery as a teenager, and she helped me ease into exercising again; Kathie is to thank for a lot of my good health habits today. I've tried a lot of different classes/studios in NYC/DC/LA, and really, no one is as good as her at making sure you're exercising the right way. Go to Kathie--you won't regret it!!

Kathie is a fantastic instructor. She makes sure you're working at the right level, in the right form, with the right breath flow. I started going to her after scoliosis surgery, and she was excellent at adapting exercises as I healed and was able to push myself further and further. She is also a delightful person to share time with, and makes you forget you're working out (believe me, when you leave, you'll know the next day you were in fact working out). She also takes your lifestyle and habits into account and is a voice of reason / wisdom when it comes to anxiety, life stress, food/diet, and relationships. She's truly a holistic guide. Whenever I see her, I feel like I get a healing dose of physical and emotional therapy. She's the absolute best!
