Went to the vet because my cat had an upper respiratory infection and a potential ear infection. They said it might be ear mites, so they tested "its not ear mites" and gave me some ear drops for an infection and told me that he'd get over the infection in around 14 days. Cold got progressively worse over 2 weeks, no antibiotic was given because the vet Molly didn't feel like he needed it. Took him to another vet. Turns out he had earmites, and he DID need an antibiotic. 5 days into the antibiotic and he's doing better. Vet had no idea what the hell she was doing, so I'm out $250 for a wrong diagnosis and a sick cat that could have been treated with an antibiotic instead of letting him suffer for 2 more weeks. The vet Molly has no idea what she's doing and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone, I have no idea how she got licensed, this place is terrible.

Dear Dr. Lewis and WVRC-Grafton staff,I hope this message finds you well. My family and I are writing to express our deepest appreciation for the compassion and professionalism you displayed during the most challenging moment we've had to face as pet owners. Our beloved dog, Major, was not just a pet, but a cherished member of our family. The decision to say goodbye to him was difficult and heartbreaking. Yet, your kind words, understanding, and empathy made this painful process just a little more bearable.During Major’s final moments, you not only displayed exceptional veterinary skills, but also a level of kindness and patience that truly touched our hearts. Your ability to explain the process, answer our questions, and offer comfort was beyond what we ever expected.Despite our sorrow, we are comforted by the fact that Major's final moments were peaceful and free of any pain, thanks to your care and expertise. You’re understanding and sensitivity during this difficult time will forever be etched in our hearts.Dr. Lewis, we understand that your job can be incredibly challenging, having to juggle both the medical needs of pets and the emotional turmoil of the owners. We want you to know that your work is truly appreciated, and we are beyond grateful for the difference you made in Major’s life, as well as ours.Thank you once again for your dedication, compassion, and for taking such good care of Major. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better vet to guide us through this tough time. With heartfelt thanks,Zachary D. and Family

Dr. Leo Sage was great when we had to bring our kitty in due to lethargy and being wobbly. He showed compassion for our girl when he diagnosed her with stage III kidney disease and was very supportive. He was professional and made sure all of our questions were answered. It warmed our hearts that he cared so much about her. Thanks to him she is feeling much better today, since we started her treatment. Thank you Dr. Leo

I don’t even think I can come up with the right words to describe how I feel about WVRC Grafton. They are, hands-down, the best of the best! They took such great care of my dog Bosco when he broke his leg last year. He is not always the easiest to work with, and they handled him so well. You could tell they truly cared about him.Sadly, we had to make the difficult decision to put him down a few weeks ago for health reasons. The support, kindness, and love we received from everyone there meant so much to us.When I went to pick up his ashes I was still in a rough place emotionally. The lady who handed my baby back to me came around the counter, gave me the biggest hug and made sure I was okay to drive home. I also received a hand written sympathy card in the mail with a special packet of seeds in the shape of a paw print and a rainbow bridge poem.Kindness, empathy, and love go a long way. These kind gestures are very appreciated and will hold a special place in my heart for as long as I live. I will forever trust WVRC with my precious pets. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for us when we needed you most.

While no one wants to have to use an emergency vet, if I ever were in need again I’d come to WVRC. 2 years ago they were the only place opened on a holiday when my young shepherd broke her leg (jumping for a tennis ball and landing wrong). Recently, when my pittie became very lethargic I knew exactly where to go. All of the staff were very warm and welcoming. After the appointment they told me my girl needed an emergency spay. They gave me options to find another place to lower the cost of the spay which was amazing of them to do. Over the next couple days when I had my sick girl home, I called a couple times with questions. Every time I called, the employee of the other side was super nice and reassuring. Never did they make me feel like my questions were stupid and made sure I always felt comfortable. Thank you WVRC for everything you’ve done for my dogs.

We had a pet emergency. We called and they said to come in. As soon as we arrived they said they where ready to evaluate and diagnose. All of the staff where polite, professional, and you can tell they care deeply for the animals. They even noted my guys anxiety when a barky dog was barky and brought him strait to us to help him calm down. Thank you for being great to my best friend and giving us some answers.

Very disappointed in the care. Brought my dog in for what I thought to be Nero concerns. The tech took my dogs vitals and then came back wanting to do a scan unrelated to my concerns. I questioned this and was given attitude by the tech. I was told, “well what do you want us to do!” I explained I was looking for a vet to physically evaluate my dog. After just agreeing to what I thought to be an unnecessary test, the vet returned my dog to the room and told me nothing was wrong. I took my dog home and after further examination by myself I noted my dog had a neck issue and her actions were related to inability to move her neck. Had she had a proper physical examination that should have been found. I was treated poorly and so was my animal at a very expensive cost . Do not bring your dog here, unless you want to pay for nothing and be treated poorly, written off by staff.

Dr. Pagel is an absolutely wonderful vet and should have her own practice! She treated my cat so wonderfully and was real. Showed true emotions, and unfortunately there wasn’t a cure for my cat and was urgent, we had to put her down. The compassion from her and the front desk staff were nothing short of compassionate. I can’t thank them enough for the peace they brought and comfort they gave. Thank you for your generosity during my family’s hard time!

The staff were so incredibly helpful and sweet when I came in to the ER with my cat. Walked through everything they were going to do and the price was so reasonable for late night, weekend ER visit.

Unfortunately I have had one to many phone calls and visits with this place first it started in June my poor 9 yo border collie went there with hind end weakness and was given medication and they did blood test and sent my husband home with anti inflammatory medication for her and had a good prognosis . Then, she quickly declined so I took her back and was told they recommended she needed to be euthanized or have a ct and surgery and we could take her home on a steroid till be booked that but could not start it for days due to her prior medication prescribed so I called to schedule the recommend ct to confirm a diagnosis but funny WVRC doesn't actually offer 24 hr assistants with that even though she was progressing so fast and it was the only thing that would actually help us see what was going on so from Monday to Friday our poor girl suffered and we tried contacting all over but no where could get her in and WVRC said I had to call to see when they could get her in and again that appointment wasn't till the following Thursday witch was way to late at that point we never got answers and our poor girl died we tired so hard to get her help but wasn't helped even at the end I called that Friday after speaking with them multiple times though out the day because she seemed like she was painful and disoriented but they assured me it was normal after her pain injection to act disoriented. Then she started to have seizures so I called immediately and said it was time and we were bringing her in and I was told they were busy as I'm balling on the phone and again they would try to have a room ready . It was honestly disappointing and to make it worse seconds after our baby stoped breathing the receptionist walks in with a bill that was beyond repulsive....... We spent so much money and we're prepared to spend what we needed to so we could a diagnosis for her but had no options this place is at best a glorified Monday through Sunday vet ....... After this horrible experience I was very reluctant to call this morning in regards to our new puppy that was frothing at the mouth she found a glow stick in the yard that was missed but I felt so alone and scared so I called and I was met with a strange response that they aren't taking patients and if my husband brought her in she probably wouldn't be seen and I needed to contact poison control and that she could not help me and then I wanted to clarify that if her condition worsened I should bring her in right ? I was ment with but there is no guarantee she can be seen ....... Due to the needs of other dogs witch I respect but really that's your response? So I did what she said I called Wisconsin poison control line and they were shocked that the vet told me to call since they don't handle animals and I clarifyed with the girl who I talked to at WVRC that it was the humane poison control and she confirmed.......forget this place I wish they offered better customer support these are our babies and I get being short staffed and under paid and busy but these are our family members and I'm actually devastated at reading other reviews about this happening to other pet parents .......you charge so much and offer so little

We call our primary vet and they told us to bring him to the ER. We brought our sick dog in - lethargic, couldn't hold his head up, eyes couldn't stay open. They did tick testing and full panels and found nothing other than "slightly" elevated white blood cell count - that turned out to be quite high- and fever that would indicate an infection of some kind. On discharge after spending a lot of money we asked to speak to the dr in regards to getting antibiotics. The dr never came out and sent the tech to relay in so many words that they didn't feel that was the cause and essentially treated for pain. We then needed to bring him to our primary vet that regarded the Er was foolish to not treat with antibiotics immediately. We should have never gone and just went to our vet, considering we wasted $900 and needed to go to our vet to get antibiotics we originally said we wanted and our dog stayed sick longer.

We are very surprised to see the negative evaluations posted on Yelp. Our experience was excellent. We did not experience any rudeness - on the contrary the staff was very courteous and respectful. The staff was also well trained, informed, capable and compassionate (given that we ended our visit by euthanizing our "little girl" of nine years, the compassion is a very important consideration). We visited the WVRC because our regular veterinarian couldn't fit us in for an emergency: our dog had suddenly started bleeding from her mouth. WVRC did an exam and diagnostics and we learned that our little girl - who had been previously diagnosed with a very enlarged heart and significant heart murmur - had a condition that was keeping her blood from coagulating; hence the bleeding from what might have otherwise been a routine problem that her body would have corrected. Given her many problems, there was nothing to be done and we had to make the horrible decision to euthanize. WVRC made us comfortable while we agonized over what to do (not that there was choices; euthanizia was the only reasonable, responsbile and compassionate option) and could not have been kinder or more professional in every respect. Thank you WVRC from some very grateful (though horribly sad) parents! You are the BEST!

10:30pm on Thursday night I needed to go to WVRC because my pup got into the trash and consumed an unknown amount of… non-consumables. There was no wait, we were seen immediately and vomiting had been induced within less than 20 minutes. My dog is bad historically difficult to work with at the vet, but they didn’t seem to have any issues getting her medicated quickly. They gave us options and recommendations for moving forward. The whole visit was less than an hour and in-and-out. Pup is doing great today. Pricing was favorable as well considering what we were facing. I would go back but hopefully won’t have to!

I had a really good experience with the Grafton Location and Dr. Lewis and Maddie the receptionist. We are new to the area and our new vet was not able to help us as they had not had an "establishment" visit for our dog yet. Our Great Pyr unfortuanelty ended up having an onset of Addisons Disease. And Dr. Lewis immediately recognized it and got her back on a path to recovery. So blessed to have a great back-up vet and this facility in our area.
