If i could leave 0 stars i would. Payed 140$ for a basic butcher job. Open my first package of chops and there un trimmed silver skin fat and all attached. Called them to give them a chance to make it right and they said this is how they cut meat and dont offer any type of refund then the owner argued with me. I will never bring them another deer.

UPDATED: I’ve paid them to process my deer the past few years even with price increases each year. I was missing a few pounds last year and asked if they had it(my fault). They flipped out thinking I accused them of skimming. I just wanted my meat. The owner admitted to black mold in their freezer along with unsanitary practices. They use hand crank grinders to grind meat in an unsanitary environment . Yech.I will drive 5 minutes more to go to Hondo’s going forward. The owner also posts under fake accounts to elude from their mold disgrace. Avoid. Ask other neighbors about their willingness to address related concerns. Addressing other false, fake comments: the owner Ryan told me they had a ton of black mold behind their internal freezer. The owner Ryan told me he hand grinds the meat which makes it warm and bacteria prone. The owner Sam uses a duct tape, marker and hand written paper system. Hondo’s is QR and computer based, including weights, photos and output and it won't make you sick. Note, all positive reviews except one only have a single review shortly after my honest review was submitted.

I have been bringing my deer here for 17 years. This is a great deer processing center. They are dedicated in taking great care of each individual's deer that are brought in. The better YOU take care of YOUR deer prior to bringing it in then the better the end result for YOU will be. They take great care in labeling and tracking each deer through their butcher shop to insure you get your venison and your venison only.I read a comment earlier that kind of floats my goat! Obviously this individual has never spent any time in their butcher shop. They use electric grinders not hand grinders which I Don't even know why that would matter anyway. I have seen their meat lockers and have never seen any black mold. Very clean processing shop. I will never bring my deer elsewhere!
