Astor Park is a beautiful and surprisingly nice park with lots of open space. It is a good park to take kids, featuring a very cool playground, a shallow public pool great for children, and a kiddy pool. For activities, it offers a basketball court, tennis courts with lights, a volleyball net, baseball areas, and a large field for sports. There are picnic tables everywhere and a pavilion to rent for parties. While dog-friendly for walks, a common note is that the restrooms are often closed.
I took the grandkiddo to the wading pool. It was very nice. The park is in a quiet neighborhood and has lots of shade and a very nice playground.

Good park to take kids also has playground and a public pool haven't been in it but it seems shallow which is great for kids

This is surprisingly nice. Places for kids to play (playground), a pavilion to rent for parties, lots of open space (for being in town), a volleyball net, basketball, baseball, and close to several places to eat.
