I’ve had many terrible experiences in my life, but if I have to pick the worst, then without a doubt, H&R Block takes the crown. If I had to rate their service, commitment, and professionalism, I’d give them a solid 0 out of 10.
I needed to file within 7 days for an urgent reason, and they verbally assured me they could get it done. However, even after 15–20 emails and two weeks of waiting, they hadn’t even started the filing. I almost emailed them every single day to remind and escalate the issue, even went to their office — but clearly, none of my effort mattered to them at all.
I will never use H&R Block again — whether online or in person — and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know.

If you want to be ignored, wait around 35 minutes past your appointment for them to finally acknowledge you, the. give you poor service and zero help this is the place to go. Absolutely ridiculous.

Awful business. You are absolutely not upfront about pricing. Cathy Willems came to get us 20 minutes late and was very rude and unhelpful, she made us feel like we were poor and couldn't possibly afford her services, I walked out upset. You should be upfront about your costs so people dont waste their time coming to you. You cold call people to get their taxes done in office, which is rude if they wanted to pick you they would. I will never use h&r block again for online or in person services and I will tell everyone I know your service and senior tax advisors are rude and unprofessional. And then they give you this same stupid follow up to every single person to call but the # doesn't even work. Pathetic

All my tax documents were ignored for OVER SIX MONTHS. When I (not the expert) followed up close to the DUE DATE, the tax expert, Cathy Willems, responded that she was 'BUSY.' Good luck dealing with her. NO WORDS for her or this location.

Highly recommend. Caught an error made by previous tax preparer. Was very thorough and explained everything she was doing. Offered and explained programs available by H&R, but didn't push it.
