my mother bought me two shirts as a gift but they did not fit. I brought them to TJ Maxx with the receipt and explained that I was looking for a store credit since my mother lives in Milwaukee and I'm in Green Bay. Instead of listening to me the cashier just issued a refund to my mother's credit card.I then went and spoke to the manager on duty who said she doesn't know how to reverse the transaction or do anything. Never coming here again hopefully you guys can hire people who aren't complete idiots. also i had to wait in line 3 times and somehow this place is super busy and it took forever each time except the second time cuz i skipped the line.

Went to return some boots I was gifted for Christmas that physically did not fit my feet - I had the tag but did not have a receipt. Upon trying to return them, I told them of the situation and asked if I could return them. The cashier told me yes but then went to find someone else to speak to.
No one told me directly but based on their conversation it sounds like the boots were from September. I don’t live in town and TJ Maxx isn’t close to me and I rarely go there, along with forgetting about the shoes entirely.
The manager came over and told me he couldn’t take the boots back because “they’ve clearly been worn.” There wasn’t a single scuff on the bottom or dirt, along with the adhesive stickers still in tact on the bottom. Just seems like he didn’t want to give me in store credit to return and use at the store. I told him that’s not possible since they physically do not fit my feet. Since they don’t fit me and they wouldn’t take them back, I asked if they could just discard them. He told me he could donate them and I said okay. I think that ask was shocking to them but what am I going to do with them?
I understand it is also on me for taking so long to visit the store, but his response to me was total crap. The shoes Don’t fit. NO ONE has worn them. He didn’t even look at them, just turned them upside down for a second and said he wouldn’t take them. I truly feel like they’re going to put them back on the shelf since they were $40 boots.
Just a bit upset about this hassle that was unnecessary & not even true. Glad I no longer choose to shop here.

I have been a new customer to this store, have been shopping for about a year now. I must say a very reliable customer they could get coz i used to buy everything from home items to clothes for my family. So fat i have always loved this store for the wide selections of item they offers. However the experience that I have had today has been awful. Worst experience in any store so far. I had made a purchase of jwellery about a month back and I loved the design and never thought I would ever return it, so didnt keep the receipt. t was an expensive jwellery. I paid 200$ for it. As i wore few times, the wire in the necklace was falling apart and it was poking my skin. And I noticed that there were many places in the necklace it was happening. So i thought i will just check to see if i. An return the item. This was the first time I bought any jwellery from the store and was the first time making any return as well. nitially they were not willing to return the item given the no return policy on jwellery, which was okay. I guess I would just have thrown the jwellery coz I would not be able to wear it anyway. But then once I showed them my shopping activity of the day the purchase was made from my tz max account, they were willing to see if they could do something. They checked with the jwellery section and decided to give me a store credit of 150. And when I asked why the difference in price was, the lady assisting me very rudely answered back to me. That upset me to some extent. She went ahead and completed the required process and at last accused for making multiple returns with no receipt in past. When infact this was the first time I was making any return and was very new to tzmax [I would say started about a year back). This was ridiculous customer service that I have ever received in any store. Really pissed me off. If there was an option to give 0, I would have given zero.

Good store. Wide range of variety products and clothes. We bought jackets and some bags from here and visit here many times. Store is well organized. They have really nice home decor items.
