Awesome sub shop. We go out of our way to grab a sandwich here every time we're in town. Best subs we've ever had.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. This past Saturday we were looking for somewhere for lunch. My 4 yo special needs child was having a moment. We basically were told we were not welcome if she was going to be screaming. We had literally walked through the door when we were told this. I would have stepped outside to calm her down but wasn’t even given a chance. Zero respect for the special needs community. Sir you need to have a reality check and learn to have respect for others. What a disgrace.

Was looking for a place to have lunch this past weekend. Had a small group so we were looking to see if they had seating. Was told they did until my wife walked in with out 4 year old who was upset and crying because she was hungry. We were then told very quickly that there was no seating. We were told that multiple times in a row. If you have younger kids that get upset you may be refused service like we were.

We called ahead and grabbed 4 de-lish sub combos to go on Labor Day weekend. Bread is awesome and combos of meats, cheeses and veggies are on point. Super fresh. Chief John and the Club were our faves.

Green Lake legend! Fantastic sandwiches. Ignore the negative reviews. Must try if you are in the area during the weekend.

Subs are expensive, takes too long to wait for your order and staff is rude. Definitely not worth it. We will stick to Ripon or Princeton for our lunch from now on.

We look forward to GL Sub Co every summer! It’s our Sunday tradition. Huge subs, delish bread. Open Saturday & Sunday this season. We always call ahead especially with a big order, grab a coffee at Sassafras and walk around downtown.

Mediocre sandwiches and incredibly rude staff.

I asked for your bread recommendation and got nothing but an icy attitude and complete rudeness. It was truly so weird; it's easy to be nice and just answer a simple question. But hey, sick burn calling me a Karen. Also, still haven't gotten that full refund you claim you gave me.

Terrible service with a rude and snarky guy taking the orders/preparing the food. Sandwiches were so-so. Music was laughable.

If there was a rank lower than zero, it is what I would give them. Slow is an understatement. That would be ok if they weren't so rude. Run away unless you want to wait an hour to be treated rudely. The sandwiches are excellent. The owner and his lackey are not.

On my most recent visit to Green Lake, I had a salad at Subco. The owners were oddly rude, but since I like to eat greens, I thought I would try it again anyway next time. Big MISTAKE! Just as bad as the first time, with even worse attitudes to me and the two customers behind me, as well! Being open-minded, I decided maybe 3rd time was the charm. Huh. I was wrong : 3 strikes and you're out! Today, after getting coffee , baked goods (try Sassafras' homemade cookies!!!) and pleasant service at my fav coffee place, I couldn't believe what I saw on Subco's window: these people actually posted a tacky, childish, window sign that read: "closed for the winter- enjoy your hot dog, or at least pretend to." What kind of person attacks a fellow business owner so rudely and publicly - especially in a small town!? Well, I thought to myself, with a recommendation like that, I better try that hotdog place! Thanks for that fantastic suggestion guys -- I will be going to Walk The Dog from now on! Being a business owner myself, this is horrible community etiquette from subco. I often bring my employees to GL for a little R & R and will never go to this sub place again. I support small businesses, but not rude small businesses.

Rude Staff! Really wanted to try this place out, subs looked amazing from the reviews and menu; went to the cashier to place an order, asked what he recommended and he said “I don’t have time for this, are you ready to place an order, there’s a line.” We promptly left, not giving this guy my money.

What an interesting little sub place. We stopped in at lunch time yesterday and they were swamped. Keeping that in mind we had to wait for our food for a long time for carry out. I ordered the Zaco. It was way over dressed in enchilada dressing to the point of almost being uneatable. The only thing I really liked about the sandwich was the bread was a French bread and good quality. My husband got the Shanghai and that sandwich was so much better than mine. It was light and refreshing with the perfect topping to sauce ratio.
