My husband and I have had an insane amount of problems with ATT and their sales reps scamming and lying to us since we made the switch a year and a half ago. However, our experience with this store has truly topped it off.
In May of 2023 my husband went into this store to get switched over to FirstNet. Kailey helped him as he had to cancel the account we had at the time and switch it to his name for FirstNet. She was supposed to have done this for him but never did, just applied his discount. We didn’t know any better and figured it was all handled.
August of this year, we went in to ask about switching our home internet. Kailey helped us again and in the meantime, she started digging into our phone bill without our asking or permission. She noticed we had the first responder discount on our bill but my husband was not on FirstNet. Again, she was supposed to have taken care of this over a year ago. She helped him get signed up for it again and then tried to sell us on new phones, watches, and a new iPad because they were running a deal. We left because I had to get to work and later decided to leave the devices as is because our bill would increase. While I was at work, Kailey and my husband were in contact to finish getting his FirstNet account set up so he could switch over his service. He told her we were not going to be upgrading our devices and she told him the only way he could get switched to FirstNet service was to get all new devices because our current devices wouldn’t work on FirstNet(even though his phone would be the only device going on FirstNet anyways). He said he would have to run this past me and get back to her and she replied with “Do you have to run everything by her?” Umm when it comes to our finances, yes we talk through everything together. How rude, completely inappropriate, and none of her business! After hearing that I’m dead set on not changing our devices and definitely not with her.
September our bill comes out and it’s way higher than normal. I called and talked to the manager, Victoria, and explained to her what happened. She looked at our bill and saw that Kailey removed our discount when she was digging in our bill and never reapplied it. She said she would work on getting our bill credited and would be in contact. It’s been over a month and I have not heard from her and there was no credit on our next bill.
We went to the store in New Berlin a couple days ago to set up Fiber Optic. I mentioned the bill credit and the rep working said they aren’t able to request credits at the store level and I would have had to call in myself. So clearly Victoria had no intentions of resolving this for us. The rep working in New Berlin was also able to get my husband’s phone onto FirstNet without having to change or upgrade any of our devices.
If you go to this store, be careful because Kailey and Victoria are more concerned about the sale and commission check than they are about actually helping their customers. Counting down the months until our phones are paid off and we can leave ATT!
