Since the pandemic online shopping has been the way to go! However, interaction with a human is needed! I decided today I would go to the mall to patronize one store only and that was Journeys Kidz. Upon entering I was greeted a quick “Hello” because the two (2) young ladies employed there was in a deep conversation. There was a family I there perusing the store as well. No assistance, no interaction, they left. I found 3 pairs of shoes I was interested in purchasing, 2 for sure, 3 would have been the cherry on top! I gave the shoes to one of the young ladies who may have been the manager. She rushed me for the sizes because I interrupted her conversation. Once she returned with the shoes, she opened one box and took out one shoe, unlaced it and handed it to me. I wasn’t able to try on both shoes at once. Maybe this is store policy, but before I could ask she went back to talking and giggling with her team mate. Once I was done trying on the one shoe, she handed me my other selection, once again only one shoe. However, this time she gave me a left shoe to try on. The first time with a different shoe it was the right shoe only. At this point I’m confused, but wanted to purchased. I decided to put the shoes on hold. I asked if she could set the shoes aside while I go to Journeys and I would be back within 45 mins. I didn’t feel seen and was uncomfortable because I felt my presence was not welcomed due to their lack of engagement. Needless to say, these employees didn’t exemplify the three (3) P’s in customer service: : professionalism, patience, and a “people-first” attitude. This particular location is not a recommendation. Let’s practice the three (3) E’s in customer service ladies: Easy, Efficient, and Exceptional…it goes a long way. Just as important as it is to receive great customer service, it’s important to be a great customer! Greet everyone with a hello and warm smile! I make sure I give what I want to receive! We deal with enough unwanted stress in this world, be kind folks, pause your conversations, and greet the good people walking through the establishment.

This is one mall that lost a couple of anchor stores, which is very disappointing. Sears and Boston Store are gone. I've been going to this mall since I was a kid. I've seen stores come and go, but it still stayed in business. With the two anchor stores leaving it's a challenge, but I believe it will still stay in business. The holidays really make this mall more popular. The decorations are beautiful and festive. Not much crime or loitering. Security has a handle hear. It does need some more restaurants inside the mall. They've built a beautiful Marcus theater on the outside of the mall and there are plenty of restaurants outside too. I've noticed they've been putting more restaurants in the mall, hopefully more stores will be attracted to the influx of more people.

So tired of outdoor destination shopping malls (or plazas) that are not in SoCal! I don't want to stress a out parking or the weather. So moving to MKE and I find this. WOOT! What is not to like? An Arcade, a food court, an actual book store??? And climate controlled to boot? I AM IN! Bring back the era of the indoor mall!

It's a great place to go if you want to get something from any different store but it's just that Spencer's and zumiez are very in welcoming and like they want you to leave if you don't dress like them. I don't know I like going but just something like zumiez need to be more welcoming

Some guy with a gold tooth and a baby in his arms told my girlfriend he was going to slap her tonight at the children's play area around 8pm. He and his girlfriend were SUPER trashy, for the record. Also, the employees did NOTHING during the altercation or afterwards. This mall is absolute garbage now. DEFINITELY not a safe place to bring your children or loved ones. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

Southridge Mall is deceptively ho-hum from the exterior. I had driven by this mall many times and in comparison with other area malls it's exterior looked painfully dated. Which, of course, led me to think the interior would be so as well. So, I really had no intention of ever stopping. But, then, ever on the hunt for awesome craft beer, I stumbled across the Explorium Brew Pub on Yelp. Local craft brewery inside a mall? Yes, indeed. Not only do they have some of the best craft brews in the Milwaukee metro, they serve some pretty legit pub grub as well. Then, I was in the area and my son needed an outfit for a school interview. With the incentive of post shopping bites at Explorium, we headed to Southridge and ended up have a lovely shopping experience. The interior of Southridge is surprisingly modern (in comparison with the exterior). The floor we were on was entirely carpeted with what appeared to be newer carpet. It also helped to keep the noise level lower than one finds at most malls. Mall shopping will never be my favorite thing. But, I'm glad to know Southridge is there for when I need it. And, that I'll be able to get a delicious craft beer after shopping. Get to it!

Great mall for the family. That choo-choo train is pretty lit, but I hate to see places like Boston store struggle for business there kinda sucks.
