“Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.”

“It is shocking how reasonable the prices are at this little store. For beer and liquor, nobody east of Mayfair Rd and north of National Avenue has much lower prices, including some larger, higher volume stores who could and should be lower. I don't know how such a small store can keep their prices so fair.Also, the staff is kind and professional. One time I saw a clearly unstable and discontent customer going off about nothing and the man at the register stayed calm and kind in a situation when most folks would have lost their temper, or at least gotten snippy.”

And I wanna express why.I'm picky and some times I need to browse a bit. At any other store I am haggled and having unwarranted recommendations on brands and flavors that are unrelated to what I'm looking for and if I buy something they try to hustle me to buy more.But this place is different.I believe he's the owner, but he's always really welcoming, and he will let me look as long as I need to. and if he asks what Im looking for he will give me realistic recommendations. recently, he offered to put in an order for what I was looking for that I was having a hard time finding at any store! I will only come here because of this service. Even though it's far from where I live this small detail alone makes such a difference in my experience.”

“My husband agrees that the duck fat burger is one of the best he’s ever had! I love the vegetarian fat noodles they’ve had on the menu during the winter season, seriously mouth watering.. but pretty spicy (the Thai chilis they put in there are no joke and last time I was crying at the table for a good 25mins because I accidentally ate one), I wish there was a warning about that. The cocktails are good, but not anything fabulous or fancy. We’ve been back once since our first time there a couple months ago!”
