My family started with Crawford 34 yrs ago. It was much better then. I'm trying to be patient but they just can't do figure out what is wrong with my dog. I can't even speak with them. It's always $$$ when we keep paying and paying for no answers and my baby is sick. No sense of urgency. No empathy. Needless to say it m fed up and will be looking elsewhere. Their answer to that is okay, we can give you your records. Sure I will have to pay for that too.

I was referred to Crawford by the ER vet nearby when I had to bring my cat in for an emergency when he wasn't urinating. They were able to get him in same day for an exam and got him down for a cystotomy the next morning! They took such good care of my baby and I felt comfortable. I was very anxious about the surgery and they answered all of my questions and thoroughly explained everything to me in detail with his diagnosis and what to expect. They also offer a Loyalty Program & rewards towards visits, which is extremely helpful as everyone knows vet bills can get pricey. I had no issues with his previous vet office, but I'm so impressed with Crawford that I will be switching and getting his routine care here moving forward!

I had a wonderful experience at Crawford Animal Hospital. made an appointment for a second opinion because my old vet had no bedside manners and went to extreme treatments. The staff at Crawford have been absolutely amazing! I called about my dog’s condition and Jess was calm and kind. She was extremely helpful and I cannot thank her enough! Dr. Panther throughly examined my dog and the issue she’s experiencing. She explained what could possibly be going on and offered options for treatment plans. If you are looking for a new vet, I highly recommend the Crawford Animal Hospital!

Before I begin this review, I want to clarify that I am not in any way holding Crawford responsible for my dog's death. However, I believe it is important to share my experience with others. In July of this year, I brought my dog to Crawford for her annual exam. She had developed a cough that concerned us, and she was also due for her Rabies and heartworm test. Upon entering the clinic, I noticed three receptionists chatting amongst themselves and not acknowledging me at all. It took a few minutes before someone finally checked me in. Once I was in the exam room, a vet tech came in. I explained my concerns about the cough due to my dog's heart murmur and requested her Rabies vaccine update and a heartworm test. However, the tech proceeded to discuss every vaccine with me, attempting to convince me to do all of them. I declined and reiterated what I wanted. She then said the heartworm test would be part of the senior blood panel. I told her I only wanted the heartworm test and not the senior blood panel at that time, as I needed to budget for a potential echocardiogram. The veterinarian entered with a treatment plan that included all the vaccines I had declined and the blood panel. She again went through the details of each vaccine, pressuring me particularly to get the bordetella vaccine. Despite having prior experience as a vet assistant and being familiar with the information, I let her go through the spiel the tech already gave but I reaffirmed my original request. It felt very much like a sales pitch and made me feel guilty. During the exam, the vet only checked my dog's ears and teeth and didn't even feel her body. I brought up the cough and asked her to listen to my dog's heart. She suggested bloodwork to test if her heart condition had worsened instead of an echocardiogram, to which I explained that I had already planned to get the echocardiogram done and wanted her opinion on how her heart sounded. I had to ask her more than once to listen to my dog's heart during an annual wellness exam. She eventually listened and said that it sounded the same, but made no comment about the cough. She just recommended a dental due to her teeth and that she’d need her heart checked first to see if she could even undergo anesthesia for the dental. After my dog received the vaccine and heartworm test in the back, the tech returned with an estimate for an echocardiogram and X-ray that would be done by a specialist who would come to their clinic. And that they book out far ahead of time. The cost was higher than what I had paid at WVRC in the past. It is worth noting that they did not express any additional concern about the cough or advise me to get the X-ray done at that time, only that she might need one done for her heart/lungs if she were to undergo the dental procedure.I left with a bad taste in my mouth. The entire experience felt overwhelmingly negative, especially since previous visits had gone okay. Little did I know that things were about to take a turn for the worse. I scheduled an echocardiogram at WVRC, but the earliest available appointment was at the end of August.Approximately a month later, my dog collapsed at home. We rushed her to the emergency vet, where they discovered that she was in heart failure and had an enlarged heart that was pressing on her other organs. That night, we had to make the painful decision to put her to sleep.I do not know whether the doctor at Crawford could have detected the heart failure simply by listening with a stethoscope. However, I do believe that they could have shown more concern about the cough, similar to their pushiness on the bordetella, lepto, and Lyme vaccines. If they had advised me to get the X-ray done during my visit, they would have seen the enlarged heart. It is also worth noting that the blood work at the emergency vet came back normal.

Crawford was fabulous with my anxious pup. My dog is very nervous with strangers and obviously in a vet clinic it is even harder to gain her trust. I called ahead and asked if we could do a “happy visit” before the appt just to help my dog become more familiar with the clinic and some staff. The receptionist that was helping me (I believe her name is Jess) was wonderful and had us come in during their lunch break when it wasn’t busy so she was able to give us her full attention. This was %100 free! During the actual appt, Dr. Panther was very patient with my girl and didn’t push her any more than she saw necessary. She even said that if we couldn’t finish with everything that we could come in for a tech appt to finish the vaccines later in the week if my dog became too uncomfortable. The blood work ended up having issues so they needed to draw her blood again a couple days later. We were able to come in to draw her blood again for free since we had already paid for testing. On top of all of this, when I called ahead to get some quotes, they were very clear on pricing for everything I asked about. During check out I wasn’t charged for anything that I didn’t know about and it was all the same prices that they told me over the phone. No inconvenience fee for taking a while with my anxious dog or anything. Overall, hats off to Crawford for some quality care and reasonable pricing. Very impressed!

I don’t leave a ton of reviews but we just got a 6 month old puppy from a rescue. Side note Lucky Mutts Rescue, check them out! We went here off a free first visit coupon. They were so nice and friendly. Unfortunately our pup has tapeworms but they worked quickly in helping us figure it out. O don’t know her name but she gave me a bunch of helpful advice/handouts. This will be our home vet from now on!

We have been bringing both our French Bulldogs to Crawford Animal Hospital for many years now. We always receive the best care for our frenchies and are treated kindly and with respect. Most recently, we had a scary situation with one of them, and if Dr. Panther and her team hadn’t have reacted as quickly and diligently as they did, our frenchie would not be here today. We cannot express our gratitude enough for what they did to save his life. We 100% recommend Crawford Animal Hospital!

My dog is relatively healthy but threw up a few times within a few days. I called Crawford and they automatically suggested I come in for a doctor visit. They didn't bother to ask if he had any other symptoms, didn't inquire about the situation (i.e., diet, recent illnesses or unusual behaviors) to further assess what was actually needed. I didn't get much advice or answers during the appointment either. I was, however, given a list of additional (expensive) services to treat my dog. Staff lacks expertise/wisdom, or doesn't want to communicate it to clients.I called to discuss the situation with the manager, and the manager defended the staff. However, she said staff could have handled the situation differently - like providing more screening before making an actual appointment.I told the manager I felt like I wasted my time and money. She wouldn't reimburse me or credit my account. If you care about your customer, you'd be more attentive and take their concerns into consideration versus defending your business. (Sounds like you just want to make money off people.)Response to business comment:I was not happy with how this situation was handled as discussed. Since you continue to defend your business, and dismiss my discontentment with your service, I am filing a charge against your business! (Manager even admitted the front desk could have done a better job at screening my dog's issues prior to making an appointment.)

My boyfriend and I walked into Crawford Animal Hospital not knowing it was our last day with our kitten. It turned out he had a severe issue that if we were to save him today the probability of him having the same problem in the near future was high. We decided we did not want him to keep suffering and to let him rest in peace. We stayed at this hospital for 4-5 hours bawling our eyes out trying to make this decision, the staff not once rushing us out or rushing any of our decisions. Let us know all probabilities ranging from various price points that could help us take an alternative route because they saw we were just not ready to let him go. Dr. Panther was so very gentle and very sympathetic, she kept apologizing about us having to go through this even while in between different clients through out these hours. The staff even helped us get his paw print, so we could have something of him. We would not have wanted any other place to help us with this and are truly grateful for the over pouring of kindness.
