When there was an issue with my awning and the vibration noise (loud), they promised to take a look at it but never followed up after numerous contacts.

Very nice store, very friendly family! But….purchased a awning form them over 2 years ago. Hasn’t work right since day one. They keep promising us that their installer will call and will be out to fix the problem. Heard from him once about 6 months ago to set up a time and haven’t heard from him again. Called yesterday 4/25/23 and the owner of birds on Deck promised he would call me that day to come out to fix it. Plus when it was originally installed he was supposed to come back to finish the job of hiding the wiring & never did so my husband had to finish the install that we paid for. Very disappointed in their response especially for the $$$$ we spent on the awning. So for you birding needs great place to support but buyer beware of large $$$$ purchases. Again I will reiterate very nice people but not reliable at all.

Some really nice yard items. I wish we had room for them! An assortment or bird feeders, and more.I ordered a glider, with tables on the ends. Also have other furniture available, made with materials to last a long time, in a variety of colors, patterns. The lady I dealt with, was kind, courteous, and helpful. No pressure.Thank you

They have awesome wind powered beautiful metal birds that are very reasonably priced. Also to they have super durable fade resistant rockers and chairs made by the Mennonite from recycled milk jugs! They also carry a good amount of bird supplies like food and suet cakes.

Purchased an awning from Birds on Deck that was installed less than 9 months ago and there is a flaw in the fabric. Purchased this one over others because the owner of Birds on Deck trash talked other companies warranties saying that they are useless and don't cover anything. He claimed this company has the best warranty. Per the manufacturer there is a 10 year warranty on the fabric. When I first called to speak with the owner of this issue he up front said that isn't coved without hearing the full details or seeing the damage. He then argued that it was my fault because I didn't remove the valance where the damage is located. I told him he did not tell me that or even show me how to remove it. He claimed that he tells everyone but when I brought up reviewing my security camera footage which captured our whole initial meeting and the installation, he did not argue further on that point. After much argument he said he would reach out to the manufacturer. They are refusing to honor the warranty saying that because they do not know what caused the damage that they are assuming it was wind which is a warranty exclusion. The flaw is on the valance which is apparently removable so just that piece can be replaced. KE Outdoor Design U.S. is refusing to fix the issue and the installer that sold me the product, Birds on Deck in Hartford, is willing to do a replacement valance if I cover 50% of the cost and shipping fees since KE refuses to do anything. When I asked to speak to a supervisor at KE the rep told me no. I left a message for Birds on Deck with the owners wife a week ago and have not received a return call. Very disappointing when you spend thousands of dollars on a product that is suppose to have a good warranty for the manufacturer to find a loop hole to not cover it. Here is a picture of the flaw

On vacation from Michigan, visited the little shop, bought a few things, to only get home, started taken care of things to find that my item mistakinglly been thrown away, I then called the shop and talked to a lady and she helped me out and reshipped the few things I originally had bought, will be back again, thank you to Birds On Deck and to the lady that helped me out!!

Nice place to visit. Got a window feeding hanger to stick on window and it's working out well so far. Gold finches don't seem to like new style of sock with plastic on top but they are still going after the sock on the tree. Go figure. Definitely felt more educated when I left. Not sure about prices though as compared to big box but glad I could help out a fellow business owner in Hartford.

We bought deck furniture and a motorized awning from them. We're now getting all our bird feeding supplies there too. Merle and his wife are great people to work with and they only sell the highest quality products. I highly recommend checking the store out, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful store. Birds on Deck has a home construction aspect to their store. We purchased room darkening blinds from them like them. I have purchased several bird feeders and seed from them for not only myself but as gifts for other people (holidays, birthdays and an excellent wedding present)! They also have bird/outdoor centered home gifts like pictures, wind chimes and the like.

Very nice family owned and run store. The ultimate place for wild bird nurturing. A well equipped store for the backyard enthusiasts. Cool weather proof furniture ideas and large selection of bird feeders.
