It was very difficult to review this hotel for the fact that there were ups and downs throughout our experience! We booked a block of rooms for our wedding guests and everyone said the hotel was great with their service and no issues. The communications I had the weekend of our wedding with the onsite staff was amazing! They were willing to hand out welcome bags and walked through booking corrections that were needed. A few negatives I would bring attention to: (1) keep records of what you have booked with them. I called them multiple times prior to our weekend and confirmed the vendor rooms, and somehow there were still errors upon arrival. (2) Two weeks before our wedding they decided to increase the cost of each room. Some guests got notified, some did not - including ME the bride that had several rooms under our name for our vendors. I found out from a family member. Upon calling them and asking they were unwilling to honor the pricing they originally gave me when I booked the block and told me to call the owner. I never did for the pure fact that it was two weeks before the wedding and my priorities were elsewhere as I had final items that needed my time which I found very unfair. The used the argument that there weren't many other options in the area. I looked into the BW Oasis Inn in Mauston and used them as a back up but had I known this prior I would have made that our primary hotel as they were beyond amazing to work with! (3) Upon booking the block they only let me reserve half the rooms despite everyone attending our wedding was coming from out of town. I had to call a month before and claim any remaining rooms to ensure they were available for our guests and I had to coordinate assigning the rooms to guests still waiting for the rooms and they had to call and claim the room. This was a VERY stressful situation to be put into, only to be given the rooms ultimately 30 days before. Anyways, thank you for treating our wedding guests well and providing lodging for our weekend!

Great location right across the highway from Hillsboro Brewing - however it is zero 0% ADA compliant. No assisted doors, no elevator. It'll be great for a weekend wedding, tho! Having a bar and restaurant on site is also a huge plus!

Room was newly remodeled. Quite comfortable. Front desk associate was confused. She gave my room to someone else. After some discussion, problem was rectified. Breakfast was good. Overall, a good stay.

I booked a room in November, 2022 in reserved block of rooms for a wedding. I asked what the price would be and was told $228.00. In August, 2023 I received an email to confirm and was told the room would be $365. because the room had been renovated in April, 2023. Contacted Teresa and she gave me a price of $236.00 which I agreed to. Contacted again in October by Daniel to confirm the room and when I asked for the charge it was now $342.55. This charge was because the room had been renovated in August. I asked to talk with the owner but was told there would be change in price even if I talked with him. I paid the room charge as there is no other choice in Hillsboro and this was a family wedding. The bride did not have her room for the first night. They did offer to get her another room on 2nd floor and she could move on her wedding day. Another family member changed their room so that she did not have to move. 2nd floor rooms are not renovated and a family member who booked a room in the wedding block was charged the same price as renovated rooms. The renovated room was nice but this whole series of events is not acceptable. When reserving I always ask for the charge and have never had it changed because of renovation and have traveled in 49 States.

We stayed overnight 9/15/2023. Such a nice hotel! The moment you walked in it smelled so good. The rooms were so clean. Big comfy beds, big bathroom, pool, bar and grill in the hotel. Everyone was so pleasant. Service desk to bartender was awesome. Loved the town. I will definitely stay again and tell everyone I know . You will not be disappointed in this hotel

They let us check in early to prepare for my grandmothers surgery. Room upon entering smelled like onions. Shower wasn’t hot. Not a good experience.

We’ve spent around 30 nights at hotels this summer around the US. Every one has had its challenges and staffing shortages. Even though we saw Teresa each day at the check-in desk. @Double shift, Teresa” was the most accommodating, kind, pleasant hotel employee I’ve ever encountered. (Even when patrons were unreasonable, which also happens everywhere.) The hotel had its small issues here and there like every hotel, it never felt understaffed and that was never used as an excuse for anything.

Great hotel with helpful staff. Large rooms with full size frig/freezer, microwave, and kurieg type coffeemaker. Breakfast was fine with pancake machine, sausage, some type of egg, pastry, yogurt. Only down side is no elevator to the second floor. If you can’t carry your suitcase up a long flight of stairs reserve a first floor room. Definitely will be staying here the next time I’m in the area.

An oasis in this small Wisconsin town. Huge rooms with comfy beds and extra roomy bathrooms. Super clean, newly renovated. Like new! Staff were professional, helpful, and courteous. Attached restaurant was fantastic. Plenty of parking. Caters to motorcyclists ?
