Great place to stop and see the view and go up the steeple if it’s open.

Had an emotional breakdown in the worship hall during my visit. If you are highly spiritual and intuitive, I hope you feel the love and spirit as well of this place. It was almost too much for me to bear. Beautiful emotion

I probably can’t say anything more than what’s already been said about the distinction and majesty of this place, but what I can say is that you hafta be here. Come and see for yourself. While the Basilica itself is a must see, the grounds are massive with walking trails, Stations of the Cross, a cafe, and gift shop. I think of the engineering feat of the Basilica being built atop this high hill, with its impressive architecture and an aura of a much greater presence than ourselves that all that is seen symbolically points to. You just hafta be here.

A bit biased as I've been coming here since I was a kid. You CANNOT miss an opportunity to come here, any time of year. Fall especially, the view and colors are absolutely beautiful. And if you happen to be a God fearing person, stop in to say a prayer; Lord knows we all need that. The church is gorgeous. Hiking trail is the only thing I haven't done. Make sure to do that if you are able. It's the closest thing to heaven. Just a relaxing time. Finish it off with a visit to the Cafe if it's open. If not, you'll love the Sawmill Inn just down the road. Oh, and stop in at the store too. All the religious items you could need or want. And they sell Seroogys chocolate bars, which are heavenly.
