My sales associate was so friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve been to the Hudson location twice since I moved here, and had a great experience both times. Love the paint too — excellent color choices and quality.

Good service and excellent paint. A little spendy, but, having said that, you get what you pay for.

This particular store apparently can't do industrial/commercial work. Terrible follow thru by the staff (well, no follow thru).I have to repaint a cinder block wall that is in frequent contact with water, oil, and chemicals. Tried to purchase pro industrial alkyd enamel in white from them, they didn't have it in stock and said they'd call me tomorrow after they figured out where they can get more from.I waited 3 weeks for a call back, never got it. I finally went in a week before the project was supposed to start to ask about it, I was told product isn't available anywhere. I said I needed something by the next week and we picked an alternative, pre catalyzed water based epoxy. But they only had a gallon of it. So they said they'd call me the next day because their computer wasn't working and they couldn't check stock at other locations.Guess what? No call back, I went in one last time the day of the project, and they didn't have the paint again, in fact, it looks like they never actually tried to source extra material because they said the paperwork was still for the other material.

A bit of a dilemma...due to vastly different experiences.I was in this store on 6/11 needing some paint for an Andersen window and worked with a young gentlemen who was congenial and eager to help. With minimal inputs he whipped up the quart I needed, we chatted a bit about a common interest and I was on my way. Awesome experience.I went back today (6/23) in need of another quart of a different color. While the same young guy was there he was busy with another customer so a young woman offered to help.It wasn't enough to provide that it was and "interior" application, the finish and the color...she needed to know all that I was going to paint with it.I mentioned that I had just been in and her litany of questions hadn't been asked on the previous visit. She proceeded to ask my name so she could look me up in "the system". I told her I hadn't given my name so it wouldn't' be in the system and that seemed beyond her grasp. Then, she tried another angle...she said I could send a picture of the can that I had at home. At this point, if I had to leave the store to go get a photo of the previous can I wasn't going back, I'd go somewhere else. Why would I make two trips to get more of this poor customer interaction from her. It is as if I had asked her what time it was and, before telling me she was going to ask all the questions necessary for building a clock. Then she asked me what day I was there so she could possibly find it in the records. I couldn't recall. I reminded her that there was no interrogation during my previous visit, it was quick and efficient. I just wanted a quart of paint to use as I wished to paint some new trim, touch up some existing trim and have on hand for any future need and that I could easily go somewhere else where I didn't have to endure such a non-productive interaction and she took a snotty tone and encouraged me to do so. So I will!As for the young man I dealt with the scale of 5 is insufficient for his score. He clearly had the experience to understand what the customer was after and knew of Andersen windows colors and finishes...kudos to him.As for the young woman if there is a rating lower than 1 I'd like to assign that to her. Her attitude was condescending and indifferent to my needs as a customer and the needs of her company to provide a productive experience and sale. Perhaps she was a trainee and she needs a bit more training and a LOT more experience dealing with people...and in particular actually listening to what the customer is saying. My impression however is that it was her nature or personality and I'm not the only one who has gotten to experience her approach. As I do appreciate the Sherwin-Williams products I will continue to seek them out however, I will actually travel farther to go to another Sherwin-Williams store or another paint supplier rather than face the possibility of dealing with her again. Its a shame that indeed.
