My little white dog had to go in to be put down on my 16th birthday yesterday and they were so sweet and patient for me to say my last goodbye to my Sasha. Their team is great.

A friend of mine had their cat go in for a groom (while under sedation) and the cat came back with not only bloody nipples but ONE OF THE NIPPLES GOT CUT OFF. Im not going to sit here and blame the whole place, but this is not normal. If it was an accidental cut or something sure, possibly understandable. Also if there was an accident it should be brought up as soon as the pet is picked up. BUT A WHOLE MISSING NIPPLE??? And the other ones are also bleeding??? And to pass it off as a normal thing when asked about it??? No. Vets are wonderful people. I appreciate the hard work people put in. However you cant tell me cutting off a sedated cats nipples and sending the cat home bleeding with no warning even is normal.

I’ve been taking my cat to a different vet for 6 years. Today I needed to put her down and our normal vet was closed. Badger Veterinary staff accommodated me and my girl within an hour; as new patients. The staff was the most compassionate group I’ve ever encountered. I felt nothing but kindness and support as I put down my girl I’ve had for 15 years. Thank you, Badger Vets. My little sidekick is onto better times and now I’ve found a new vet hospital I prefer. They also saved me from driving from Janesville to Madison on a Saturday morning. It doesn’t get better than that, especially when the grief is overwhelming ❤️❤️

Ultimately, vet put my dog under anesthesia and was unable to perform a small surgery because he DID NOT properly do the diagnostics and thoroughly examine my dog beforehand, causing my dog more stress, improper care, and huge bill. The vet & upper management DID NOT take any responsibility for what happened and DID NOT show any empathy towards my concerns or frustrations. Read on for the full story... My dog had a cut / bloody ear tip. After talking to vet on phone he said to keep it wrapped (we did, the wrap kept coming off) and he needed to examine it more (which is what I expected). We took him in, & vet basically told me the same thing he told me over the phone (keep head wrapped, buy no flap ear wrap, and gave options to do blood work to rule out diagnosis of hypothyroidism) and sent me on my way. The vet did not even examine my dog's ear thoroughly or properly (he glanced at it), did not help me wrap it, or did not suggest anything to put on it to clean it or help the bleeding stop. Couple days later, my dog’s ear kept getting worse. I called and asked if we could cauterize his ear tip to stop the bleeding or if there are any other options to stop the bleeding. He told me he COULD cauterize it, so I made appt for that week. After putting my dog under anesthesia the vet called & told me he cannot cauterize my dog's ear after looking at it further while he was under anesthesia. WHY DID THEY HAVE TO PUT HIM UNDER ANESTHESIA JUST TO TELL ME THEY COULD NOT DO IT. The vet should have done further examination BEFORE anesthesia to make sure he could perform this surgery. I asked for cauterization & wanted a quick fix, the vet should have known better… He was on phone with me for ~30 min to figure out what our options were at this point & I had a lot of questions. I came to find out I was charged extra for an extended period of anesthesia because my dog was apparently still under anesthesia while we were talking. Why wouldn’t he tell me “I need to make this quick because your dog is still under!?” Anyway… vet ended up just doing blood work and cytology (which could have been done NOT UNDER ANESTHESIA) & wrapping his head, which came undone (again) 2 hours later & we were back at square one… IMPORTANT TO NOTE the why/reasoning vet gave for not examining ear more thoroughly and using anesthesia: My dog is reactive when people touch his inner ear or when feeling pain/uncomfortable. I DO NOT think that is a good reason for anesthesia… My dog has had his ears cleaned out & looked at thoroughly by another vet in the past with no problems other than needing a muzzle & an extra set of hands or light sedation medication. If the vet did not feel comfortable examining my dog's ears he should have communicated that with me. Putting a dog under anesthesia not only costs a lot of money, but has a lot of risks for a dog! After talking to vet & management about this issue for ~4 weeks (no one would get back to me after calling every day), they had absolutely NO empathy about my frustrations or willingness to come to an agreement or own up to the possibility of taking the wrong steps. I initially was very nice with them and was hoping to work something out. They became very defensive & off-putting. They kept saying, “we did nothing wrong & we are not seeing eye to eye & your dog is “reactive” & was looking out for safety of vet” (which I absolutely understand). Again, it DOES NOT give a reason to skip the appropriate diagnostic steps. Like mentioned, my dog is fine with a muzzle & extra hands. If he didn’t feel comfortable examining him, it should have been communicated to me or he should have passed my dog on to a vet that felt more comfortable. I felt this situation needs to be known to others & I hope my experience is helpful as you review the best care for your pets. I would be happy to share more details, answer questions or give more info on parts that may not make sense as there were a lot of parts to this experience.

Fantastic visit with a devoted and sensitive exotics specialist. Our Baby (Cockatoo) had a good check-up and all my questions were answered clearly. This was our second appointment and we feel very comfortable returning in the future for continuing care. (...and the price was nice, too)

We take or pets to BVH, a top notch hospital for animal care. The staff is efficient and friendly which immediately puts you and your pet at ease.We had our English Bulldog in for ACL surgeries which bulldogs are prone to. Both hind knees needed the procedure one two years ago and the second just finished. Both to great success!Dr. Kevin Kreier is tops in performing this procedure. As I understand people bring their animals from some distance to have Dr. Krier attend to their pet. My wife; myself and our bulldog highly recommend Badger Veteranary Hospital.

Badger vet has recently changed ownership … and while I was a good customer who recommended them frequently… the new ownership had increased charges to the extreme level. When asked I was told by an employee that while she agreed they are no longer in charge of prices and that they are excessive … they can’t do anything about it … I’ve had recent experiences with the emergency vet hospital and they are fantastic and still less than Badger vets new price structure. Couple tha
