I like it because there is a variety of products, dishes, tools, appliances, but I don't like that there are very old products. I bought a bone for my dog and it hurt him because it was already expired.

Had a great experience buying a sectional, among other things. After visiting 4 other places, we came back to the first one we sat on at Big Lots — it was more comfortable, with better fabric and just as well made as others that cost twice as much, including the 3 year accidental damage insurance. Kind, helpful employees and great deals throughout the store.

Traveled to the Janesville Big Lots store to look for a new couch with my family-- we needed a very specific size and color, and comfort was a priority after living with a beautiful but uncomfortable couch for years. We found one that matched our style and size right away, the kids melted into it and we all agreed it was extremely comfortable with nice soft fabric. Amber was working that day, and she was very helpful in answering all our questions. Prices were marked 50% off, and while it seemed good, I do not always trust "huge markdowns" like this. It looked and felt like great quality, but we kept shopping around. For the rest of the day, we went to every other furniture store we could find within 50 miles, sat on more couches than I can remember, and were amazed at how uncomfortable so many of them were. In the end, we all agreed that first sectional we found at Big Lots was the clear winner, so I picked it up the next day. It was my first purchase there so I was able to get another 15% off, so while I was waiting for them to get it ready to load up, I looked around and ended up getting a bunch of stocking stuffers, a few Christmas gifts and a bunch of groceries. We also opted to get the insurance that will cover any accidental stains or damage for 3 years, even though there is a manufacture warranty as well. All the workers were respectful and most were even cheerful. I used the bathroom which I don't think was intended to be a public restroom, but it was clean and did the job. In total, I spent under half what most of the other couches cost, and that included the extended insurance and about $250 worth of gifts and groceries.

Wow, I called this location to check on a sofa .. I got the SKU number from another location and they told me to make sure I call before I get a uhual and drive the 1.5 hours to get it .. So I did just that.. I called and Spencer answered I gave him the item number and he was not where he was supposed to be to type it in so he told me to hold on.. then he asked for the number again.. He said they had 4 sets of the sofa . I told him I was driving 1.5 hours and getting a uhual... he said okay.. He then hangs up and physically goes to check only to find out they don't have the item .. what sense did that make !!!! He claims he tried to call me back but the phone doesn't let them call customers back which has to be a lie!!I'm pissed more so because all he had to do was go check .. I told him I was driving 1.5 hours ..
