We worked with Max and Erica at JDM Imports Janesville to bring home a Fairlady Z. The car was better than the posting on their website. It looks, feels, and runs amazingly. We’re going to have fun driving and taking care of it for years to come!!!! Now on to the important part…the service. They made this an A+ experience. Max and Erica are true JDM people in every sense. They care greatly about the vehicles and their customers. The were honest, open and completely transparent. Something that I need in a used classic car purchase. Not only that but this was the most fun at a dealer I’ve had my entire life. We looked over the car, chatted about our experiences in Japan and it was just a pleasant experience from start to finish.Thanks again!!!!!

JDM Auto Imports changed my life…no joke! Max & Erica are professional, accommodating, & an absolute delight to work with. All aspects of the customer experience couldn’t have gone smoother in the facilitating of the purchase of my one-of-a-kind vehicle through their specialty company. Recently bought this Hilux Surf for my wife through JDM Auto Imports and it was a great experience. I never thought I would purchase a vehicle sight unseen but Max was able to answer any questions I had, provided me with pictures and videos, and walk me through the whole process to make me feel comfortable with doing so. Once the vehicle arrived, I was happy to find out that it was exactly as described and pictured. I'd highly recommend buying from them!

Door says open Wednesday’s 1000am - 200pm.Google says 1000am - 500pm.We drove over 200 miles and gave the owner a 3 hour heads up we were coming. He returned our email 15 minutes before arriving saying he had no appointments available, like he was too busy. In fact no one was even there.They do seem to care about the quality of the cars but very poor availability.Make sure you have a confirmed appointment in advance, will not be buying from here.

I've been looking for a Nissan Gloria for the longest time and trying different options from local JDM dealers to importing one myself. After multiple rude dealers in Japan and nothing in my area having what I wanted I came across this company.They were respectful and straight to the point. I noted some bad reviews stating how they didn't communicate much. To be fair if I publicly posted days that we would not be available and was constantly contacted on multiple occasions during the time period I SPECIFICALLY STATED I was not available, I wouldn't want to do business as well.The owners worked with me and gave me options and most importantly they gave me all the information that I asked for. This is my first time purchasing a vehicle without viewing it in person since I reside in South Florida, and they gave me every photo and video you could ask for.These are wonderful people to do business with and they will work with you. Don't listen to these other reviews, treat them respectfully, and do not wait their time and they will do the same.I haven't even received the car yet but after all the struggle I went through before trying to get a Nissan Gloria and suddenly having a super smooth and nice experience I had to share my thoughts.I can't wait to receive one of my dreams cars, thank you, Max and Erica. There is nothing I appreciate more than good communication and business.

I had a flawless experience with JDM Auto Imports and Max, the owner. All of our conversations/negotiations were done over email but felt like it was texting due to the responsiveness. Max was phenomenal and even emailed me during the weekends when they were off to update the status of our purchase. A few folks have stated Max is rude and that is the furthest thing from it -- then again I treated him with respect and got the same in return. All in all, the car was paid for on a Monday and received the car that Thursday in Virginia. I will be a return customer in the very near future. Max, thank you again.

Good Afternoon Shoppers,I concur with Matt and Tl. The owner needs to take several customer and professional etiquette classes. He was extremely rude and acted like my money wasn't good for him. Shoppers may want to look somewhere else.I felt this was very important to share with potential customers who might do business with jdm/Max the owner. I just wanted you to see how he talks to his customers (see below). I tried calling his business several times in recent days, and when the automated answering machine picks up, it mentions their business hours but not the holiday hours leading the caller to believe to try again later or someone will get back to you during their business hours and days of operation. I did not know the business would be closed for a long period of time. I called several times and had to result in sending a message via his website and the response I got was what you see below. And this is the holidays which is the season to give. He obviously doesn't need my business but I again I think customers shld know what to expect. Thanks for reading. I was going to be a cash paying customer. Moving onto professional importers from Cali and FloridaHis rude emails below..Wow. The email read:"Hello. We are currently closed for the holidays. December 24- Jan 1. Returning on the 2nd of January."We are simply on vacation to spend time with our families for the holidays. This is ridiculous. Please don't contact us again, we won't be doing business.MaxOwnerJDM Auto Imports LLCI emailed you yesterday. We are closed for the holidays returning Jan 2nd. It's posted on the website and I specifically told you in the email.We will not be working on our time off regardless of how many times you contact us. You need to stop calling, leaving voicemails, and submitting contact forms.

Absolutely love my new Subaru Legacy gt b! Couldn’t have had a better experience purchasing it.If you’re thinking of buying a JDM car, this is the place to do it.Max only picks out top notch vehicles to import. No rust and low miles for hard to find vehicles.10/10 would buy another vehicle from JDM auto imports. Service is next level. You can tell they love what they do here.

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews, but I had such a great experience with JDM Auto Imports I feel I need to. All their cars are in spectacular condition. I couldn't believe it. All 25+ year old classics and just super clean inside, and outside. Max, and Erica, were both incredibly welcoming and flexible on meeting after hours to accommodate my work schedule. Very patient too, I had to take up two separate days to make the purchase due to a financing issue on my end. They took the time to show me all the cars and just had a great time hanging out after the sale. They were helpful with financing, insurance, registering the car in my state. Above and beyond all the way. The best experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle. I'll be back for sure.

Cool cars, cooler dealership and even cooler people. Cleanest JDM cars I’ve seen anywhere, and at a fair price. Customer service was the best I’ve ever had while purchasing a vehicle, or let alone anything. No matter where you are in the country if you’re looking for a JDM car this is the place to go!

Let me start by saying I highly recommend JDM Auto Imports if you are looking for a top-notch RHD time capsule! I have known Max for over 4 years now. He runs a unique, high quality, honest, and successful business hand-picking and bringing the cleanest examples of JDM cars from Japan stateside and specifically to Midwest. I do not know any other JDM importer who takes such good care of his customers, by preparing the vehicle for delivery in a way that you are buying a car that essentially needs nothing mechanically or cosmetically (including new tires, all fresh fluids, like new interior and 5-year top notch ceramic coating) for years to come!Max is very professional, takes pride in his work, and passionate about what he does. This is not a place for tire kickers, however. If you have ever tried to sell your car privately, and not some junker, but a Mustang GT, a Corvette, a 911 Carrera, or a GT-R, you know that 90 percent of people who come to see the car never intend to buy it, but just want a joy ride. Admit it, you agree that it can be a frustrating experience with much of your time wasted. So, respect your time and the business’ time when you are considering to look at the inventory. If you have a dream (and the financial means) to own a true JDM gem, I would not hesitate to call Max and he will make sure your dream comes true!What’s my dream? A 100-series Land Cruiser with a 1HD-T engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. I have 2 more years to wait until those will be available for importing stateside. Meanwhile I will keep an eye on JDM Auto Imports inventory for some fantastic examples of the Japanese cars of the Golden era that, sadly, will never be made again. So grab yours as a daily driver or a show piece while they are still available!

I don't like leaving this kind of review, but I feel I need to with this company.I reached out to them a few weeks ago regarding a RX7 they had for sale, I was (and still am) very interested in buying it. I am also capable financially to purchase it. I called a few times and finally got ahold of the owner Max. I asked him if the car was available, he said it was. I asked if I could come check it out and he said he only let's people with bank preapproval come out because otherwise it's a waste of time. I said okay ill talk to my bank. I also asked him why he thinks the car has been available so long (I first saw it on their website near the end of 2020). I can't recall what else I said, but I don't believe I said anything rude.Since that call a few weeks ago, I talked to my bank and got preapproval. So for the past week I have been trying to get in contact with this company, excited because I was about to be able to go buy an RX7 that i've always wanted.I called 10-15 times in a week, no calls back.I left 2 or 3 voicemails, no call back.I emailed them twice, no reply.I put a contact through their website, no reply.Finally, today I texted their phone number thinking it was a cell. The owner Max replied to me saying "You were rude when we spoke. We are not interested in further communication with you. Have a good evening. Max, Owner."I read this and panic, trying to recall what I could have possibly said to be rude. I pleaded with Max to explain what I did or said, I apologized (though I don't know what for), told them I really was sorry about whatever I might have said because to be honest I really want the Rx7 they allegedly have for sale.He has not texted me back.The only thing I can think of is this is a scam business. I didn't say or do anything that was rude and they won't even tell me what I did. It is very fishy to me that you'd be willing to turn down a $45,000 sale over someone being rude and then not even tell them what they said that was so rude.I don't suggest working with this company.
