The staff here is very inconsistent and rude. Offers are not available as advertised. 6 different options advertised and not available. But certainly the bill could be raised exponentially for even asking. For anyone with an older phone, you bother them and are treated as a waste of time. Customer loyalty should mean something but sadly it doesn't. ? This place is terrible at customer service.

Worst costumer service ever. Everytime I go in its a 3-4 hour wait for help. Been trying to get my kid a new phone for months now. I had to wait 45min just go pay my bill before. Finally got in there to get my son's phone it wasn't busy and they were closing early and wouldnt help us because there was 2 in of snow on the ground. It's just a bunch of young kids who don't want to work. Hate this store.

Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Staff sit and talk amongst themselves, sitting on there phones while customers are waiting hours to be seen. When asked what’s taking so long staff give you attitude.

They told me that I could get a tablet with data for $5 a month, but my bill went $200 higher than usual. I went to return the tablet to keep my bill down to its normal price and they reassured me that I can keep the device and just turn off the service, for that $5 a month.I then went home happy, but when I called the 611 number to turn off the service I was told that I can’t just turn it off, I have to fully pay it off… why can’t I just surrender the device? I wasn’t even told what the full price of the device was ever. But they told me that yes I can keep it and just suspend the service, but only for 6 months and it’s a one-time only thing. This company is too stressful, confusing, and full of liars who are only in it for the money. The moment I can pay this stuff off I’m leaving for good.

The JANESVILLE store is awful. Shouldn't take a half a day visit everytime you deal with cell phones. What is up with the sales department here?? You could get a new phone and be in and out in the past. Even at the mall. I would give ZERO stars if i could. Friends and family all go through this experience. I also see poor elderly people sitting and waiting for hrs also. The sales must be terrible when you can only help a few people a day. BUYER BEWARE!

The one customer service experience that I dread more than any other is a trip to the U. S. Cellular store in Janesville WI. My most recent experience did nothing to change my perception of lousy service.pinion. It only reinforced my opinion. In fact, I would rather go to a doctor for a digital proctology exam rather than go to the U. S. Cellular store.I came in to get a new phone in response to the promotion you are running. I waited 45 minutes to see an Associate. Then I worked with him for almost three hours because there were technical difficulties setting up my new phone due to a SIM issue. The Associate warned me that it might take a bit longer than usual because they were experiencing some issues. Finally, I had them reactivate the old phone so I had a usable phone and I went home.I came back the next day at the start of the Associates shift. He was not allowed to work with me because I was not the next name up on the store waiting list. I proceeded to wait another 103 minutes (but who was counting) before my name was called. Once my name was called, it took only about 10 minutes to deactivate the old phone and make the new phone fully functional. All totaled, over the 2 days, I spent 514 minutes twiddling my thumbs and listening to the stores “cheesy,” mind-numbing music. While waiting, I observed that there were never more than 4 Associates assisting customers, there were usually 2 other Associates standing at a front desk twiddling their thumbs, talking to themselves or possibly each other, and there was usually 5 to 7 customers waiting to be seen by an Associate. In fact, 2 of the customer in waiting had waited more than 1 hour beyond their appointment time to see an Associate.Let me add that the Associate I worked with both day was very helpful and cordial. He apologized repeatedly for the delays. I assured him that I recognized that the problem was not him, but a lack of staff and poor management and oversight.I received an email survey that states that as an “organization committed to your satisfaction . . . We feel privileged to be your cellular provider and want to continue to be so for many years to come.” Based on this recent experience and similar experiences in the past, I wonder what type of service I would receive if I were not a “valued” customer.

I have been into this particular location twice, and both times have worked with Connor F. He has been very upfront, helpful, and pleasant to chat with! I will be making the trip over to this location for any future upgrades and service questions.

Switched from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 14 Plus and was not informed that there were potential connection issues in my late model car because of CarPlay. I was clear about my lack of knowledge about phones when I made the purchase. Apple was helpful when I called them for help post-purchase and they apologized that US Cellular dropped the ball in making sure that I understood the changes between the two phones and how this may impact hands free availability in my vehicle. When I called US Cellular to discuss my concerns, the person I spoke to (Connor) was very dismissive and rude and basically let me know that this was my problem, not US Cellular’s problem.Lesson learned: Buy directly from Apple, not US Cellular.

My wife finally decided to switch to a better cell service with US Cellular here in town. She called during her work day and was told that to transfer all of the phone information (iPhone to a newer iPhone) would take about 30 mins. We decided to go after dinner and I dropped her at the store to do this quick transfer. What they failed to truly inform us was that they needed the transfer pin. Ok no big deal, my wife got that information from her mom within minutes. Then she was informed that oh hey it's going to take another hour for this process to be all finished. So for those keep tracking of the total minutes at home...this is 1 and 1/2 hours of total time that this took to transfer information from a phone to a new phone. Why on Earth would one of your staff incorrectly tell us the amount of time it would take to complete this process? If we knew the actual correct amount of time this would have taken, we would have come to do this when it was more convenient for our family. **I had to drive around our son in the car to get him to sleep twice during this 1 1/2 hour process**.For future reference, if you ask the amount of time it'll take for them to do something at this store, expect that time to be incorrect by 2x or 3x.

Stopped into this store to get my wife a newer Iphone, and Chad was great. Not only helped us get into the new phone, but had great customer service and conversation while getting the phones data switched over. I'm a Verizon customer and she's on US Cellular, but I'm seriously considering switching after this great experience. Great work Chad!
