As a local real estate professional, I know the importance of a good review. This is why I intentionally take time to give credit when it's due. I've been going to the Kenosha YMCA for over 7 years. Their staff members are always very responsive and friendly. The facility is clean. I highly recommend this family friendly gym. Disclaimer, I'm not affiliated with the company or anyone who works there. I'm just a satisfied member who supports great local businesses!

Hey, this place is huge and it has a lot of stuff to do inside like swimming& exercising. I think I even saw a sauna? My grandkids were there swimming in one of the smaller pools. Check it out.

I have a national membership and have visited YMCAs across the U.S. and this ‘Y’ had everything… nice gym, sauna, steam room, hot tub, hot showers, big lockers, swim suit spinner, 18+Women’s locker room… etc.

I have driven across Kenosha numerous times to use the pool which was whimsically closed. I spoke with the administrator in February of 22 and suggested that they text message members when the pool was down or when they have a last minute schedule change. She answered "You can call to see if the pool is open." They arbitrarily change lap lane availability when one of the instructors schedules children classes. I am handicapped and can only use the ramp egress and suggested she read the suggestions submitted through their suggestion program. She answered "The suggestions wouldn't get as high as me," I would keep my membership if they showed the same responsibility the Rex Plex does. The Kenosha YMCA is a waste of my time.

This place is crazy understaffed. If there's an issue with the vending machines, they make their members call the service number. Their showers smell like mold and have drain flies. The rock climbing portion is open for 2 hours twice a week All the equipment is extremely dirty and the hand sanitizers are never filled. Really no point in spending this much for a gym when you could go anywhere else for the same lack of quality.

I visited both this YMCA and the Rec Plex. A yearly membership at the Y would be free for me thru a healthcare insurance perk. A yearly membership at RecPlex will cost me over six hundred dollars. I'm choosing RecPlex because their management staff does a better job with upkeep. It matters that much to me.

Went swimming at the Kenosha Y this morning because the Racine one was closed and the lifeguards were not very nice or understanding at all. Racine Y is so much better!! Very disappointed.

The custodians need to do their jobs properly and just clean the equipment as I work out there and see garbage cans all the time as that is unsanitary to let it build up to the top. Higher standards on custodians to keep those coming should be a priority as no one wants to see people trash and the stank behind it. I shouldn't have to smell garbage or see the instantiation.

Been using Katie (Personal Trainer) since June 2020. She has been great in helping me make some adjustments to my workout. Mostly been using her as a sounding board in what I am doing when on my own. I am one that will do workouts and can over do it. Katie has shown me how to go down on things but still get a good workout. I have also used her some to branch out more on other things. I have taken some of her classes and found them very enjoyable. Katie is good at listening and giving other ways of doing something. She is good at working with individuals that has had prior injuries and I truly appreciate this. With working with her and doing some of the YMCA classes I had gotten a membership there. Finding that some of the classes are fun to do. Can't thank Katie enough for her help.

Horrible experience, I cancelled my membership 3 months ago due to getting a new job in a different state. I have been repeatedly getting billed each month no matter what. I would not reccomend this gym as canceling is non existent.Update: they did resolve the issue and even refunded me for the charges after my cancellation

Me and my baby went to the warm swimming pool for swimming yesterday and my both legs have many little rush and itching, people wear shoe in and clothes in the swimming pool look very dirty. We are definitely will cancel the membership. I feel was so bad. They actually come with a group, older group and disability group, and kindergarten group, there is no space for kids be there.
