Well, I don't know what happened to my Meijer review, so- This is a great Meijer! Most of the staff is friendly, the produce is awesome, the meat is good, the aisles are large. Deli tems and sushi are usually fresh, or sold out. My only gripe is that the app could use a store map, not a location listed for every item. I had no idea, as an example, where the A section was (produce), or what separated B section aisles (chill cases and freezers). A map in the app would have saved me a lot of time searching for, as an example, Rich's Nondairy Creamer (Section B, Aisle 1 in the freezer on the left- but hey, I would have thought back with the other creamers). Otherwise, with e-coupons, paper coupons and great Meijer sales, a terrific place to shop!

Huge huge huge store. Bigger than a Walmart and with a wider selection. Heck, there's even a wall of fish for sale! I did some wandering and found a few things. The cheese section is bonkers. The bakery looked fantastic. Prices are medium to higher than Walmart but yes, it is a better and more pleasant shopping experience. Wide aisles. Bright lights. Clean restroom. Easy shopping with a self-checkout that just worked. [Review 20651 overall - 223 in Wisconsin - 1632 of 2023.]

The bakery/deli manager makes discriminatory comments, scheduling new hires is a mess, and my brother has still not been paid from the days he worked there 2 months ago. My brother was hired as a cake decorator in early July. Interview and orientation went fine but then he was told multiple dates to come in to start and meet the manager, 2 days in a row he arrived (via city bus) at those scheduled times and was turned away and told to come back at a later date/time because the manager wasn't there. Then when he finally did start (still with no schedule given) the bakery manager made the rude comment of "You cant be playing games like that, that is something you need to disclose at your interview" when my brother simply asked to be called "Ben" on his name tag rather than his legal name he had to apply with. Then he was told to work until 10pm that day in the deli (not bakery) and was given no further instructions for working. He never received a schedule and the store never returned his call for one. They simply ghosted him and re-listed the job ad for a cake decorator on Indeed within days. I submitted a complaint with Meijer about this and also because he has never gotten paid. We both kept following up with Meijer for a response for a month and heard nothing back. Then when I was making a follow up call to customer care in mid August they finally got me a hold of the store director who lied and said he had called me, which he never had. He was extremely defensive about the complaint but said he would look into the pay. It has now been another month and he has not been paid for the 2 days of work he is owed and zero explanation given on why he never got a schedule or a call back to continue to work, not that he would be interested in that now. A complaint has now been filed with the State of WI for his pay. I just wanted to be sure any potential employees know about these things before applying. A simple phone call to let him know the reason the employment wasn't going to work out would have been great but not paying him and never getting back to him regarding it in 2 months is unbelievable.

Meijer is my favorite grocery store in Kenosha as it has a little bit of everything with a good selection. Essentially it's like a Walmart but with a different spin on it which I seem to like the most. The thing that brought me in to the store originally was FreshPet food when my dog was sick and needed soft food for a while. Meijer constantly had the refrigerated fresh dog food every time I went to get some which wasn't the case at the store I once frequented. Consistency is key and they seem to always have it.The grocery store has a great selection of everything you would need and has all the mainstream brands that you would be looking for. The store starts out in the produce department for me every time and they have a great selection of fresh produce, especially with the different types of apples and oranges. Vegetables are nice and well in stock too, they have everything you need. The meat department has a good selection and I really like the way it's set up. One thing that they do seem to run out of at some of the wrong time in the winter is beef stew meat. I get that it's made out of the steaks they cut, but come winter beef stew & chili dinners are the weekend go to meals in my home. I've been disappointed a couple times with this one...not enough to keep me away though, in fact I just go back more to get it right when they do have it in stock :). I end up stocking up so it does work out in the end.The alcohol selection is good as well if you're looking to grab anything, it actually seems bigger to me than other local grocery stores but it may be how it's set up in the store that makes it seem so. The dairy section is a great one with a good cheese selection which is necessary in Wisconsin for sure. Gotta have some good sharp cheddar to put on top of the chili right? The store does have a little bit of everything else as well so you can't really go wrong. I highly recommend Meijer!

There is a very inconsiderate female employee who always parks very close to the store taking that spot from customers. I'm an Instacart shopper so I see her there everyday. She has Wisconsin plates "CHEFET" each picture I add is a different day I've seen her in that spot Meijer is aware but they don't care about the customers.

This store discriminates with who they hire. My husband applied and they denied him before even giving him a chance . Sayin they are going a different way. Not the first time they reject someone off how the person looks(My husband has one arm)

I decided since I was running errands in Kenosha that I would try Meier. The grocery store looks more like a Target with a huge grocery selection. The store was clean, bright, and inviting. I needed roast beef and cheese so I went to the deli department and was greeted by Emily. She was the highlight of my shopping experience. This store is definitely blessed to have her, she is a ray of sunshine with her positive attitude. She helped me choose the best roast beef which was the London Broil, it was medium rare the way I liked it. She suggested the provolone cheese to compliment my sandwich. She greeted me first by apologizing that I had to wait to be served. The store wasn't that busy however there were 3 customers at the deli counter and Emily was busy helping the customers. I didn't mind waiting.I decided to shop the rest of my store and found everything I needed. I tried the self check out which wasn't a great experience since one of my items didn't scan. I tried to get assistance however no one was around. I waited 5 minutes and decided to place all the groceries I had scanned right back into my cart. I went to a regular check out lane. A nice young man took care of me. The gal who bagged the groceries dropped my lemonade and said that I could go to the back of the store and grab another one. This is where I have a problem. I was tired after a long day at work. I just stopped in for the first time to grab deli meat and sandwich bread plus small items. She dropped my lemonade she should have had someone else replace it or just take it off my bill. This wasn't handled correctly. The prices are a little bit more expensive than Woodmens however the employees are friendly and the store layout is easy to get around. I will be returning back to give this store another try.

I really want to like this store and keep trying. It's like a toxic relationship and I'm constantly let down on basic needs. Most recently, I placed an online order at midnight on Black Friday. Two items, both in stock, successful checked out, I was charged immediately. I selected the first pick up time offered the next morning, so not to add to the Black Friday chaos, as I assumed my order was a sure thing, because I was charged immediately. My order status did not move beyond the "order placed" designation until 6am Saturday. An email arrived that my items were ready. I received notification AFTER my 8am pick up window to chose alternate selections. One item had no substitute, the other was not what I needed. Why charge a customer with no intention of picking the order until the time it is due? I use other store pick up and they shop your order immediately and hold it. Because you've paid them in advance and they provide a responsible service. Of course inventory will change if you wait a day after the customer has paid. Holiday let downs are the absolute worst.

There was a problem every time I shopped there. The computer self check out doesn't always reflect the advertised price, and the employees don't know where you can find bread (It's in isle 9). The cashier who monitors the self check out is sometimes slow and chatty. The online purchase bins do not identify their content, and they do not post that the South doors close early. Don't park on the south side in the evening if you are handicapped or you will end up limping twice as far.

Great Meijer location! Great prices, well stocked, wide selections to choose from. They have an inside Starbucks which complements your shopping experience. The staff is very attentive and cooperative to customers needs. Very well-managed store.
