The Stella Hotel & Ballroom features a beautiful lobby and exterior, creating an attractive first impression. However, the rooms tend to be basic and somewhat dated, with some guests mentioning issues like street noise, old air conditioning units, and limited amenities such as no dresser or safe. Housekeeping services have been inconsistent, with some guests experiencing uncleaned areas and missed room cleaning despite requests. The hotel charges for amenities like breakfast, which some find overpriced and lacking in quality, especially with limited food options and decaf coffee. On the positive side, the staff generally provides friendly and attentive service, especially in the restaurant and banquet areas, where guests praise the delicious food and excellent service, including for events like anniversary parties. The rooftop bar offers a clean environment and good drinks, with some noting the food there is not available despite advertising. Parking can be an inconvenience, as it is located across the street in a free lot or garage, which can be a challenge in bad weather. Overall, while the hotel has some appealing features and friendly staff, guests highlight inconsistencies in cleanliness, amenities, and communication, impacting their overall experience.
My wife and I first visited and stayed at the Stella in 2025. We were hooked. This is now the only place we will stay when making our annual trip to Kenosha. The price of rooms gets you a one of a kind experience in a historic building with absolutely amazing staff to assist with anything you need.

The deluxe 2 bedroom is very small not worth the money. Expected better. A mildew smell in the lobby area of the first floor. The view wasn’t very good on the first floor
