The Checkpoint is a fun bar with a traditional setting and lots of nostalgia. It is a hidden gem with cool basement vibes, described as seriously cool and a highly recommended place to try. The business combines arcades, vintage video games, and free-play consoles with a space for DND, tabletop games, and board games that are free for everyone. The décor features plenty of props and memorabilia covering various fandoms. It offers good music, a clean environment, and caters to crowds of all sorts for events like karaoke. The prices are very reasonable for items like pizza and drinks, which are noted as cheap. The bartenders are friendly and nice with a fun attitude. While sometimes quiet, it is open for bookings on any day and time frame.
Fun place I was happy to see they have free play Mario kart and smash bros I wasn't expecting that and it was refreshing to not need to pay to play instead I used that money on food and drinks!

There’s board games that are free for everyone to play and plenty of vintage video games. The prices are very reasonable, as well as the price of their pizzas. The bartenders are friendly and have a fun attitude, I live 40 minutes away and I have been here twice in the last month. I highly recommend you give them a try.
