A true LIGHT in the darkness. Professional, friendly, caring, patient. Worked so hard!I had a furnace repaired, then replaced a few years ago, as well as a hot water heater. I also had the weatherization done. All during very cold months, sometimes well below zero. The fact that Couleecap is still around and has even more services and support for those in need warms my heart. Love in action, with humility and no judgment. This is what really matters in life. People helping people as equals, with dignity and respect.I've had more than one crisis that brought me to my knees, before the pandemic and after. What a comfort to know Couleecap is still there, for me and all others who may need it.Such a blessing. Forever grateful.”

“I find it amazing to read through the reviews left on this site. WOW! More than one reviewer would give Salvation Army a bad review...but then when you go and look at their other reviews they are from different parts of the country or reviewing somebody the more expensive eateries in La Crosse. Seems like there are some fake reviews out here. I hope the Salvation Army can do what it supposed to do: give a hand up to those who need it. La Crosse, as a city, is not equipped to handle the homeless/unsheltered issue. This should be handled by the County. The Salvation Army does a good job but will never satisfy those that aren't willing to see it as the resource that it is, not the crutch that they want it to be. Thank you for all you do!”

“Our first time to visit Rotary Lights. We went on Christmas Day, and it wasn't crowded. Was hoping to take a carriage ride through the park, but it was raining. The light displays are amazing! So much to look at, so we drove through twice!”
