River City Hobbies is a great shop with incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and super friendly staff. It is very welcoming and helpful, offering a huge selection of board games, comics, video games, Miniatures, D&D, Pokémon and Magic Cards, model building, Funkos, discs, and more. The shop is well-organized and has a game room in the basement. It is a pleasant stop and one of the best spots in town for self-described nerds, providing a very good first comic shop experience. Parking can be rough in this popular part of La Crosse.

It’s been a few years since the last visit to River City Hobbies due to moving out of La Crosse. Visited again today and was impressed once more by the table top/board game selection!
