Big Bay State Park is a wonderful and scenic destination with clean trails and many overlook areas offering great views. Visitors enjoy the park’s nice bathrooms, water filling stations, and campgrounds, especially site 28 for easy Wi-Fi access. The park is a great place to slow down and appreciate nature, with opportunities for hiking and relaxing by the water. Many say it has a long-standing charm, with some camping there for over 30 years. While reaching the park by ferry involves additional cost, the stunning views and peaceful atmosphere make it worth the visit. Overall, Big Bay State Park is a highly recommended spot for camping, nature, and outdoor fun.
The beach there was amazing. You could walk out a long ways and still be just waist deep. The water was so clear too, it was a breathtaking view. The little lagoon area was great for smaller kiddos if you didn't want them wandering too far out. Definitely going back. Already planning.

We rented mopeds and went there. There is a nice hiking trail. Did a little of it and was able to get right down by the water which was nice.

Did the Bayfield/Point Loop/Woods circle. Beautiful views. Dog friendly. Easy trail.
