Folks of different incomes and backgrounds mix comfortably at Tom's. The funky hanging sails and hand painted signs always make me smile. Every time I visit Bayfield, I book a cottage at Apostle View Cottages and make a pilgrimage to the Burned Down Bar. Bayfield has its perfect spots.

Grampa Tony's on Madeline Island
814 Fort Rd, La PointeEvery summer I look forward to Grampa Tony's pizza. Fantastic crust and pizza cooked to perfection. Not a greasy, limp mess, but a proper pizzeria pizza. My whole family loves the pizza, sandwiches (especially the French Dip), and ice cream.
The atmosphere is perfect for a summer afternoon or evening out with outdoor seating on the upstairs deck or downstairs picnic area. There's also a large indoor dining space.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Just remember you're on Island time and everything is made-to-order, so don't expect lightning fast. Just sit back and soak in all that is Madeline Island while you wait for some great food!
