This postoffice is inconsistent with package delivery. I should get reimbursed every time I have to pick up my own packages. Instead I get excuses and snarky remarks. I understand that they are under new management. Well, their new management, rules and policies are inconveniencing many of us. This post office seems to be poorly managed, and doesn’t want to figure out good service.

The personnel at Lake Delton Post Office have always been great. The Postmistress that has worked the last 2 days has gone beyond helpful. That’s why I drive a few extra miles to go there when I need to mail anything.

The staff at this location recently changed and we understand that. But we no longer have the polite, educated and most importantly experienced staff. Even though my business is a walking distance from this post office(and i have always used it), I am now forced to take my otherwise regular business mailing operations to the other Post Office location in Wisconsin Dells(now driving distance). The "situation" i was put through today at this Lake Delton post office location meeting unnecessary attitude, incompetency and refusal to understand in professional manner when you(staff) are doing something wrong as an employee, was of course processed smoothly at the Wisconsin Dells post office, EXACTLY as per our normal and previous USPS handing experience (in both places). I was completing the same operation that I normally do as part of my business daily routines for years and yet it did not go smooth this time at the Lake Delton Post Office with the new staff. Again, We understand that staff is new and nothing wrong with that. We are all new at some point somewhere. But if there is a problem that the staff experiences due to lack of knowledge/training, then work proactively to find a solution on the spot. Step back and take a breath...Nobody is rushing you nor timing you to process mail quick. Refusal to admit an error, attitude, banging the computer screen and responding "i don't know, i don't know, i don't know" to simple questions, returning the mail to the customer and telling them "try something/somewhere else" ???...is just not the way to appear in a Customer Service environment. If you are new and make a mistake, accept it, look deeper and correct it with a smile. No pressure given. The customer will understand ALWAYS and will rather accept it with a sense of humor together with you. CRM training! If you don't know something, ask and seek additional information as possible. These are simple tasks in our lives. Like i said, my mail was accepted and easily processed 30 minutes later, EXACTLY as per my expectations with the Wisconsin Dells Post Office location. Zero issues there and no problems whatsoever in a less than a minute. Therefore the mistake was OBVIOUSLY caused by the Lake Delton Post office staff being not familiar with the USPS processing system! Attitude was NOT needed nor helpful in this situation. We will NOT return to the Lake Delton Post Office desk in the forceable future. Thank you for your time reading this!

Even though the Lake Delton Post Office is not our service area, it is the closest office to our home. I happened to stop in there for the first time on my way home from work one afternoon in 2021. I was pleasantly suprised by the staff - they smiled and greeted me when I entered. That has NEVER happened at any other post office I have walked in to. I was even more caught off-guard when one of the ladies asked if I needed assistance when I was trying to figure out what package would work best for my item. Not only did she recommend a package that would work, it was also cheaper to ship than my original selection! It has been a couple of years now, and this continues to be my go-to post office. The friendly smiles, willingness to engage in light-hearted conversation and sarcastic jokes even on the more busy/difficult days are a welcome change from other offices and postal workers I have encountered in the past. Thank you, Lake Delton Post Office!

The nicest postal workers I’ve ever talked to. This location in specific is so cautious and courteous. It’s a refreshing jump from other locations. Thank you for being kind. Best post office I’ve ever been too.

All government offices should have to be open until 5pm. Tried to go this am after dropping my daughter off at school, but they don’t open until 8:30am. I work 8:30 am/5.Pm so I guess I’ll just not bother.

I had to go back to pick up a package that the clerk said was not there the first time I was there earlier in the afternoon. It was literally setting on a shelf with other items waiting for pick up about 10 feet from the counter. She didn't look the first time because she just knew it wasn't there. Very friendly, but not too ambitious.
