It's a disaster in there, looks dirty products everywhere unorganized can barley get thru aisles with boxes in the way. The store is a disgrace

Been here a million times. Today I was on my phone and told my husband that my kids said they had a sore throat at 7am and the employee thought I said strep throat and absolutely went off on me. My kids said they had sore throats at 7am but had no fevers and as soon as I called them off of school they were magically better, obviously faking and wanted to be home with me today.I let them come to the dollar tree at 11am because I need wrapping paper for the birthday party we are going to at 4:30 today. I kept telling the employee that I didn’t say strep throat but he attacked me more when I defended myself. I know he thinks he’s right, I know he truly believes I said strep throat. But I didn’t. He said he heard them coughing. They have asthma, they were at the allergist last week. I’ve got 4 years of health records to prove they are chronic coughers. I called corporate. I would like to submit their health records and clear this up. The employee was so pissed at me that I was shaking and could barely count the money out. The receipt says his name is Scott but who knows if was under his employee number. Skinny, maybe 38, dark hair, glasses, angry. He said “have a good day!” I said “you ruined my day. I’m shaking right now” he said that I ruined his. I didn’t do anything to him!!! Nothing!!! I’m still shaken up! I would like someone to contact me so I can submit my kids health records. I’m not ok being called a liar or being yelled at.

So disappointed. The store is a disaster. I will drive to Elkhorn or Johnsburg, IL before ever returning to this store.

Place was a mess. Boxes all over the store and in the aisle. Tripped and fell. Told cashier she said sorry she was the only one there. Don’t think I will be back there anytime soon.

Place was a mess! Cashier was outside smoking when I came in. They are charging more for merchandise. I would describe this store as a pig pen. The store is obviously poorly managed.

This is the worst Dollar Tree Ive ever been to. The store always looks like it was tossed around, and when I was waiting in line today, the worker that came up to help get people checked out blamed ME for not calling?? How about you pay attention to your OWN store buddy? Jesus. I work in retail and hardly ever leave reviews but I cant stand this dollar tree. Drive 20 minutes away to burlington, it’s worth it.

As soon as I walked in the cashier had his fingers in his mouth chewing on his nails and when I went to check out he was still standing there with his fingers in his mouth it was disgusting! I looked around to see if there was another cashier and there wasn't unfortunately! I asked him to use disinfectant or hand sanitizer before handling my food and he refused I should have walked out at that point but I didn't unfortunately I need items for making my family dinner and was disgusted at the fact that the cashier had his fingers in his mouth chewing on his nails the whole entire time I was in there they need better help also they never wear name tags so you don't even know who to report because he didn't have a name tag on ! Never said thank you when I took the receipt he was rude and didn't say anything ! Very unprofessional service!

This dollar tree has some of the BEST and WORST employees I've had the pleasure of dealing with. There are a couple of women who have worked here who were AMAZING individuals who did everything they could to help you... However, my last visit really soured my opinion of this establishment.I searched up and down every aisle for something. A product I'd bought from here previously. While exploring, I finally decided I would settle for any product that was even remotely similar to what I was hunting, but still no luck...I truly hate asking the employees for help. Most of the time, it is a Russian roulette as to whether or not the employees decide they will help or sound like they wish you would drop dead and leave them alone.I asked the only employee I could find, the cashier. My receipt says his name is Mataio. He informed me that he didn't work at that store usually and had no clue where to find my item but said I could ask the other guy."The other guy," I actually thought was a customer...He was kinda walking around and completely zoned into his phone, seemingly ignoring all else. Not to mention the giant headphones on his head. So, I decided to walk around a bit more in hopes I'd find some kids bubble bath or some paw patrol toys for my toddler without having to disturb, "the other guy."Ultimately, 3 laps later, I finally broke down and steeled myself to talk to the other guy.I saw him near a cart loaded with boxes to stock, and I swear he must've known I was coming to speak to him as he quickly rounded a corner and vanished. I waited a bit until I saw him come back to the cart, again, phone in hand, eyes not deviating from the screen. I approached him until I was about 5 or 6 feet away and called out, "Excuse me. "... 3 times... Each time louder and more exasperated than the last, waved my hand in his direction before the final 4th "excuse me" and waving my entire arm toward him.No response... Either his headphones have some seriously great noise cancelation, or he was proudly ignoring me altogether. Either way, it was embarrassing and I quickly made my way to the front so I could leave with the few Items I had and the small amount of dignity I still held after loudly calling out and trying multiple times to get his attention.I am a store manager of a local business, and while I may not know the policies of Dollar Tree in particular, I can't imagine they are so vastly different from ours that noise canceling headphones and a fully immersed cell phone experience are high up on the job requirements and expectations... That being said, this was by far one of the worst experiences I've had at any your stores... I've had some rude employees in your various locations in the past, but "the other guy" trumps them all...Looking back, I wish I'd have gotten a name or a picture of the young individual in question... But unfortunately, he was just the other guy on shift...
