Okay, I have had some really bad customer service experiences at Home Depot, but NOT this one! Hubby and I came in looking for a particular drill bit to enable us to remove fencing. The pattern on the screws was unusual. We were lucky enough to run into Patrick, from hardware. We went on a hunt, Patrick, hubby and me, for the unicorn bit and kept striking out. Patrick found that there was a bundle of bits in clearance that had not yet been placed on the floor and kindly found the bits and brought them to us. He was so helpful and friendly. I hope management sees this review because he really exhibited great customer service. And to Patrick...the bit fit!!!

I love going to the Lake Geneva Home Depot simply because I never have to wander around looking for someone to help me. They are always staffed so well and it's like they purposely seek out those of us that look lost and confused. (Easy look for me, haha). Everyone has always been so helpful, genuine and knowledgeable. Kudos to all the associates that have ever assisted me, but today special shout out to Chris G. He really went above and beyond, was patient with my questions and my lack of knowledge. Extremely helpful!! Highly recommend Hone Depot Lake Geneva!

Staff was not very helpful, they keep all the lumber carts outside ay the far end of the store, so if you are buying bulk trim remember to grab one on your way in. Had 3 people walk past as I was trying to load 1×6×12' and Noone asked if I needed help.

Best store for the products and the Lake Geneva location really stands out as a very customer service focused place. I’ve been shopping there pretty exclusively for over 20 years and also appreciate the special treatment towards military veterans like myself!

I purchased a washer and dryer for a condo I own in Lake Geneva. I went to use the dryer a few weeks after delivery because I was out of town during renovations, and the dryer has no heat. The manager at Lake Geneva Home Depot told nothing they could do since it was after 48 hours. I guess I am a Lowe’s girl from now on!!

Let me start off by saying that I made a few mistakes with my purchase here, but then again, I have never had to purchase a washing machine. I will make my review more like an advice column. If you plan on purchasing a washing machine here, make sure you do all of your measurements. The sales associates do not squeeze that into their process. It is up to you to make sure that your appliance fits into the space you have for the machine. I did the measurements, but I did not know the pedestal for the machine came in 2 different sizes. I got the pedestal that was too tall and my washer did not fit under the cabinets in the laundry room. Next, once you purchase your washing machine, the delivery guys are helpful and knowledgable, but for whatever reason, their direct supervisor has them on limited time that they can provide for deliveries. If they do not deliver your product, and too much time was spent at your home figuring that out, they have their boss to answer to. Expect the delivery guys to answer your questions from their standpoint that best suits their schedule. Also understand that these guys are thrown in the middle of yourself and the person that sold you your washer. They get super irritated with the lack of communication that happens during the sale as it all falls on them and their delivery process in the end. Bless them. The most important thing I learned from the delivery guys that I wish I knew during my sale and during the two unsuccessful deliveries I have had so far: First, if they deliver your washer, and anything goes wrong and they have to take it back, just go back to your sales person and re-order the whole thing. As I mentioned, my first delivery was not a success because my washer was too tall. The delivery guys told me that they could not leave the washer with us because the washer could not be tilted due to the fact that they had to take out these rods that support the inner basket of the washer during shipping. They said that the washer had to go back to the warehouse to have it transferred properly to the shorter pedestal. Fine. My mistake. Today is the day, I was ready to do laundry in my own home and not within the moldy confines of a public washing machine. Boy was I mistaken. The first thing I noticed was that my washer had not been taken off the pedestal like the first set of delivery guys had mentioned. And the second guys delivering my washer were taking it out of Saran Wrap and 2x4s that somehow were supposed to support the washer during the time it took to bring it back to my house. They got my washer out and were like "It's scratched, do you still want the machine?" I was furious. I said yes. I wanted to buy time while they were switching out the pedestals. I called Home Depot and explained what was happening. According to the person that sold me the machine, this never happens. This person never made me aware of the option that I would have had to just re-order everything new in the first place. They asked me what I wanted to do. I said I wanted to have this machine while a new one was ordered to my house. The salesperson said no. They should have said yes after all this bs I had to put up with. Plus the seller had not done the return on the taller pedestal. I had to call to have it returned. All-in-all, I am leaving this here so that hopefully someone reads this and find it helpful. I am not trying to bash Home Depot as I feel like all of us sort of dropped the ball here. I'm still annoyed, but it's okay because I know my lack of knowledge annoyed them back. I was not a jerk about it, but I hope that it was a learning experience for the salesperson too. I would come back here in a heartbeat. I just realize that researching is very important. Times have changed and you have to be your own advocate. Sales people only sell now. That's it.

I want to tell you about 2 amazing employees at the Lake Geneva store. Ashley Francois & Chris Goetsch went above & beyond in customer service! After an issue after ordering flooring, I spoke with Ashley. When she found out about my disabled veteran husband, she made it her mission to get us approved for a program that Home Depot has for people like my husband. Both she & Chris volunteered their time and labor as well as rounding up volunteers like Derek Gerstung from Superior Custom Floor Design & Brad Augustson from Augustson Homes to replace all the flooring in our bedroom so my husband could get around easier. I am so very grateful to them all for their kindness & generosity. Thank you!!!!

Purchased a grill today, I couldn’t figure out how to mount the gas tank… thought it was missing a piece (idiot)… I went back, dawn and Tyler were so helpful and non judgmental about me not being able to figure it out. They were super nice and showed me how to do it. I also had to run to this store yesterday to find bolts for my table and James was also super helpful! As an unhandy woman… highly recommend this store! They are all amazing and have been a godsend!

The Lake Geneva Home Depot needs new management. I have been a customer for four years. When you ask for a product the answer is almost always, “check online.” If you need assistance it’s so difficult to find someone to help. But their ladies bathroom is the worst! It has been over a year for them to fix the tissue holder in the handicap stall. When you pull the tissue the whole huge roll falls out. But the WORST is the cleanliness. I walked in two stalls that weren’t clean before I walked into the third dark stall. MY FOOT SLID ACROSS THE FLOOR ON DIARRHEA! ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND MY SHOES! After cleaning my shoes I went to the desk and told them. NO APOLOGY!!! Just a comment from one associate to another while they were standing around not working to call someone. I know accidents happen but tell someone rather than give your germs to others. HOME DEPOT: CLEAN YOUR STORE AND ESPECIALLY YOUR BATHROOMS!
